Looked away from the cats in the bathroom long enough to type that last update, looked back up to find the girl wandering around near the closet, the boy just chilling in the middle of bedroom floor, and couldn't find the bug anywhere. This is not an uplifting development, and yet one more reason I wish cats and humans had a common language.

I am thinking of starting a photo collection entitled Things My Cat Would Rather Sit On Than Her Cat Bed.

So far, the collection would include pictures of her sleeping in my duffle bag, on my purse, perched on the cat food container, and curled up inside an empty Pepsi crate.

This has been the type of week that calls for a stiff drink and lipstick the color of Captain America's shield. Luckily, I not only have both but the jewelry and nail polish to match.

If you tell the cats to "get the bug" without first checking where said bug is, then you are responsible for events that ensue when they attempt to do so.
