Inferno had absolutely no idea where he was going. The sensory grid he had told Shockwave he had was a complete lie, but his bravado pushed him forward more in search of his missing Queen. Despite all protests from their newest prisoner potential member to the Royalty's army (those sensory nets the red and white maximal traitor spoke of were a complete lie. One he was clearly using to hide the Queen's actual location), the fire ant led his small gathering onward into city's center through a wide, shadowed passageway. The gun he dragged was heavy, stolen from the car by the cyclops and given to him for safe-keeping, but he knew it'd come in handy soon.
He could hear his two recruits whispering behind him, doubting that he was heading them in the correct direction. But he knew, he had to know. Though his readings for the Queen were fabricated, Inferno could just tell when more Maximal intruders were about.

Shockwave was quite surprised when not long after finding Red Alert, the now-group came upon another Autobot. This one proved familiar to Shockwave in both appearance and function. Prowl, the Autobot Tactician and Second in Command. He would not be as easily subdued as the twitchy agent in his grasp. Shockwave powered up his canon, with a readied aim focused on Red Alert's spark chamber in a silent threat towards Prowl.
((Links much appreciated, navigating livejournal is painful on dial up, fff. Also, part of this comment refers to the comm signal sent out by G1 Optimus here))
At the sound of an unfamiliar voice, Prowl spun in the direction of the sound, pulling his blaster from subspace with the motion. The motion was perhaps more paranoid than he might have normally reacted, but given the circumstances, he felt it was acceptable... and when he saw one of the mechs. Shockwave - more importantly, Shockwave aiming his cannon directly at a shackled Red Alert's spark. The smaller... creature (it certainly appeared Cybertronian, at least partially... what in the name of Primus was going on here?) wielded what appeared to be Red Alert's weapon, though the tactician wasn't sure of the immediate threat - the gun seemed awkwardly big for the strangely insect-like being

Red Alert inwardly flinched; he had sensed the second Autobot's presence, tried to lure the others away, but that slagging ant-con just wouldn't listen. But in any case--was this Prowl his Prowl? Perhaps he was merely an illusion, or a doppelgänger. Perhaps this was all just one big trap. Perhaps they really were all dead, and they were seeing ghosts

Shockwave was confident he could handle an Autobot like Prowl, with or without a hostage or a strange partner. Outside observers considered the two matched in logic (Shockwave, of course, considered himself superior), but in power, the Guardian was something of a higher level, almost on par with the faction leaders. In fact, if he were a fictional character written by some mysterious entity called "Marvel" and was intensely traitorous, he'd probably be capable of overthrowing his leader. Shockwave is disconcerted at the mere thought, and glad he is as loyal to his beloved leader as he is. Prowl, in summation, was not a mech he found himself apprehensive about the prospect of facing

Inferno was... well briefly overwhelmed would fit best. This new intruder seemed more familiar than the rest of his aquaintances so far, at least in the head. But he couldn't quite place a claw on it. It was of no matter, however. New intruders just meant more threats to the colony. The colony he had lost. Which housed the Queen he had misplaced; No. Not misplaced.

Megatron received Shockwave’s distress signal shortly after gathering the medi-bot. It was on a different frequency to what he expected; Shockwave was not at his command post. The signal seemed to be originating from further within Iacon city, a few kliks from Megatron’s current position. //Shockwave, this is Megatron recieving. I am en route.\\
“Hold on.” he warned the tiny mech perched on his shoulder. Firing his thrusters, the Decepticon leader took to the air, headed on a direct course to the location of the signal.
Scanning the area below as he soared overhead, Megatron suddenly caught glimpse of a blue-and-white mech crouching atop a balcony: an Autobot, and one that he vaguely recognized. He swooped down, landing behind the preoccupied bot. “Autobot scum!” the warlord spat, as he swung his cannon arm at the bot, aiming to send him flying off the structure.
NEW THREAD BECAUSE I DON'T CAREonlyaglitchAugust 3 2010, 22:30:39 UTC
Immediately, Red Alert wasted no time freeing himself, the scent of the acid burning in his olfactories. He rushed himself free, immediately going for Inferno and his gun. However, Shockwave had regained enough concentration to spot him; he shot at Red, nearly succeeding in hitting him, had the Autobot not bounced back and away. Red Alert cursed and quickly headed for shelter, vowing that his gun would not stay in that ant-mech's possession for much longer.
However, with little evidence to trust these Autobots were his own comrades, Red quickly took shelter, away from the fight. He had to repair his rocket launcher even if he joined the Autobots. Still, Decepticons were Decepticons and as soon as this fragging thing was working again, he'd help.
Real or not, they appeared to be Autobot and were certainly against the Decepticons. Might as well take the lesser of two "evils."
Too many things to keep an eye on, too many things to keep a gun on. Inferno was running further out of whatever little patience he had, swinging the smallest of the two guns to any mech that made a move. Even the cyclops drone, now, was giving him a look of distrust. Perhaps he had judged this one wrong? Surely, he was being led into a trap. All of them... they were all against the colony

Megatron had no idea how Prime or the other Autobots had arrived on this planet; as far as he knew, they were supposed to still be on Earth. Whatever crazy circumstances had led them all here, he had to make good of the situation at hand

It hadn't taken the red mech very long to respond to Prime's command to meet up...and with Prowl no less. Well that was something to investigate at the very least. Slowing down as he reached the coordinates, Sideswipe finally stopped at the sounds reverberating against the walls over the purring of his powerful streamlined engine. So much for this being easy

A retreat? Really? But Megatron had barely sustained any serious damage, as much as Mirage wished his rounds had done more. He had rolled to the side the moment Megatron had turned on him, but Optimus had saved the day. Some things really never change.
With the retreat called, the spy pushed himself up to stand, briskly closing the space between himself and his temporary leader. "Shall we pursue, sir?"
Re: That's right, run you cowards!heroindisguiseAugust 11 2010, 15:40:32 UTC
The Prime was standing right where he'd been fighting a moment earlier, still tense and following the swift retreat with his optics, not quite capable of shooting a running enemy in the back.
When the spy approached he relaxed minutely, turning towards him. "None of us can fly, Mirage." Optimus shook his head, sounding regretful. "It would be fruitless. We'd better regroup and tend to our own wounds. Speaking of which..."
He placed a hand on Mirage's shoulder. "Thank you for your help. Your timing was excellent, but what about your damage report? Megatron's blows are far from weak."
"We have that in common, then," Mirage mused dryly. They had a lot in common it seemed, but the fact that there were differences at all was disconcerting.
Damages? Oh yes, they were there. Mirage's armor was visibly dented where Megatron had punched him and where he had landed on his neck and shoulders. His neck struts were slightly torn, and there was minor leaking from the torn cables. "I've sustained worse." From an ally, even. "Nothing a medic can't repair."
sorry so late ;-;heroindisguiseAugust 17 2010, 16:52:33 UTC
Optimus regarded him with visible concern flitting behind his optic lenses; Mirage was a brave soldier, but even with his modest medical knowledge he could guess that those wounds needed to be at least looked at.
"We will have to find one, then." He mused aloud. "A medic, that is."
Straightening completely, he subspaced his rifle and looked around. It was time to regroup and decide what to do.
