Megatron had no idea how Prime or the other Autobots had arrived on this planet; as far as he knew, they were supposed to still be on Earth. Whatever crazy circumstances had led them all here, he had to make good of the situation at hand.
“I had thought this place was too good to be true…but no, of course you meddling Autobots had to crawl out of the woodwork. No matter…I will wipe you from the face of this “New” Cybertron, and claim it as my own!” He laughed maniacally, and addressing Prime’s threat, stated, “I accept your challenge, Prime. You will be nothing but a smouldering scrap heap when I am finished with you.”
The warlord set Scalpel down atop the structure out of harm’s way, silently glad he had brought the medic along. He was not going to dismiss the possibility of needing him after this encounter.
All focus now on Prime, Megatron stepped off the ledge, firing his thrusters briefly to slow his fall, and landed heavily before his arch-nemesis. He retracted his hand and an energy flail took its place; with a snarl, the warlord drew it back in a wide arc before swinging it viciously towards the Autobot commander.

It hadn't taken the red mech very long to respond to Prime's command to meet up...and with Prowl no less. Well that was something to investigate at the very least. Slowing down as he reached the coordinates, Sideswipe finally stopped at the sounds reverberating against the walls over the purring of his powerful streamlined engine. So much for this being easy...
The frontliner pulled out his blaster, pressing his back up against the wall as he moved forwards, barely peeking his head around the corner as the noise level increased. Megatron, Optimus, Shockwave and...Prowl. Well Primus be damned. Had he been a more superstitious mech, Sideswipe probably would have turned tail by now but curiosity and the need to aid his Prime and fellow Autobots stayed his peds. Optimus usually could take care of himself when it came to the Decepticon leader. Prowl facing Shockwave solo however...there was an uneven match regardless of the tactician's amazing processing power. Flipping his blaster in his hand, a mischievous smirk crawled over the Lamborghini's face. Oh this should be a good story to tell Sunstreaker when the mech showed up!!
Slipping around the corner, blaster held in front of him, Sideswipe ran forward crying out, "Hey Shockwave!! Catch!!" Firing his weapon several times at the large purple Decepticon, the red mech charged forward into the fray.

Shockwave had little time to react after hearing the battle cry, or even feel annoyance at yet another Autobot appearing before recognizing he was being shot upon once again. He crudely dodged to the left, feeling a blast or two graze his side. Despite his lack of grace or agility, his armor was some of the strongest Cybertron had to offer, and the hits didn't penetrate the thick plating deeply enough to cause any notable damage. It would take more than a few ill-aimed blaster shots to bother Shockwave.
In rebuttal to the attack, the Guardian fired off some blasts of his own, canon turned to high. While his aim wasn't the best at a long range due to his lack of binocular vision (and thus depth perception), the closer an enemy attempted to come, the more accurate the Gunformer's penance to deactivate them.
Optimus barely noticed Sideswipe's arrival, for his attention was entirely focussed on avoiding Megatron's ruthless attack.
He made to dodge, a fraction of a klik too late - ... stumbling into something that had been between his feet on the ground.
From the cursing it spewed when he trampled it and sent it flying quite a distance back, it seemed to be sentient, but Optimus was too busy regaining his balance after the lucky save to notice, Megatron's flail way too close to his plating for comfort.
"Not bad, Megatron," he grunted, "but you will have to do much more to defeat me!"
Swinging his arm back, he contemporarily summoned his energon axe, using his momentum to twist his torso and slash at the tyrant with the blade.
Intent on landing the first blow, Megatron barely registered the thing Prime stumbled over. The Autobot quickly recovered his balance; the opportunity to strike him while off-guard was gone, the spiked energy ball only just missing.
“Oh I plan to, Prime.”
Ducking back to avoid the slashing blade, Megatron took another horizontal swing, aiming for Prime’s legs.
Optimus took a half step back, but halted in his tracks and steeled himself to meet the blow, taking advantage of the proximity to slash at the tyrant's side.
He could bear some damage if it gave him an opening to perhaps gain some vantage.
"You are welcome to try, Megatron! But don't get your hopes too high." He growled back, dismissing the pain signals from his grazed thigh and stepping aside to aim another blow at the grey mech's chassis.
Annoyed that he had only managed to graze the Autobot, Megatron realised too late that Prime had allowed the scrape in order to close the gap between them; the sudden sharp pain in Megatron’s side caused him to snarl with rage.
Unable to utilise his flail at such close range, the warlord instead hurled his entire weight forward, bodily smashing his opponent into the side of the nearest structure.
Taken aback, the Prime crashed into the crumbling wall behind him, digging his feet in the ground but unable to slow down enough to avoid the impact.
He grunted in pain, debris raining over both of them, and subspaced his axe in order to punch Megatron's head from that side.
That didn't seem to damage the grey mech much, but it made him lose his balance long enough for Optimus to grab the back of his neck, use his left foot as leverage and turn their positions around, slamming Megatron face first in the very same wall.
“Hrnk!” Megatron’s sensors fritzed for an astrosecond as his face was smashed into the wall. His flail now subspaced, the warlord attempted to push back from the structure, but with Prime still holding an iron grip on his neck it was a poor position to try and recover from.
Megatron rammed his elbow back into his enemy’s midsection, satisfied when the grip on his neck weakened. Sliding a leg between Prime’s, Megatron twisted it around one of the Autobot’s legs and again pushed back from the wall in an attempt to force him to the ground.

Optimus staggered and growled, his knee joint giving out under him and making him lose his balance.
As he fell backwards, he scrambled to grab at the other - he would not be shoved to the ground while Megatron was standing - managing to hook one of his arms around the grey mech's neck, dragging him down as well and tightening his hold as much as he could, even if the impact with the ground temporarily knocked the air out of his intakes.
Successfully destabilizing his opponent, Megatron hissed as Prime pulled him down on top of him; the impact was cushioned somewhat by the Autobot’s body, though it still rattled him. With the added weight of his own body crushing down on the Autobot commander, the warlord knew his opponent would have felt a much harder impact.
“Having fun, Prime?” the warlord sneered. His back flush against Prime’s front, Megatron pried Prime’s arm from his neck and rolled off the Autobot, raising his fusion cannon in defence as he made to stand.
He couldn't let him use the fusion cannon, not at this close range - with that only thought flashing through his frenzied processor, Optimus pushed himself to a crouch, before springing forward again and tackling the Decepticon to the ground with all his weight.
"I am about - to ruin your fun, Megatron!" He countered, charging his fist for a direct punch in his face. "And you won't enjoy it one bit."
The blow was certainly disorientating but nevertheless, Megatron countered with a devastating blow of his own, an uppercut to Prime's chin sending the Autobot reeling backwards.
Optimus instinctively brought one arm between them, grasping Megatron's other arm not to be shoved off entirely when he was, at least position-wise, at an advantage.
"Give it up, Megatron! The Autobots will fight for this Cybertron as they did for Earth!"
