Inferno had absolutely no idea where he was going. The sensory grid he had told Shockwave he had was a complete lie, but his bravado pushed him forward more in search of his missing Queen.
Despite all protests from their newest prisoner potential member to the Royalty's army (those sensory nets the red and white maximal traitor spoke of were a complete lie. One he was clearly using to hide the Queen's actual location), the fire ant led his small gathering onward into city's center through a wide, shadowed passageway. The gun he dragged was heavy, stolen from the car by the cyclops and given to him for safe-keeping, but he knew it'd come in handy soon.

He could hear his two recruits whispering behind him, doubting that he was heading them in the correct direction. But he knew, he had to know.
Though his readings for the Queen were fabricated, Inferno could just tell when more Maximal intruders were about.

We cannot let our guard down, not for a second. The gun was suddenly heaved forward and half-thrown on debris as Inferno saw a ( ... )

((for the record, in case this prowl-mun is completely lost and wants ooc knowledge, you may want to refer to here and then here

Also, Shockwave and Red Alert (in cuffs) are currently present alongside Inferno here, just without time to react yet))

Shockwave was quite surprised when not long after finding Red Alert, the now-group came upon another Autobot. This one proved familiar to Shockwave in both appearance and function. Prowl, the Autobot Tactician and Second in Command. He would not be as easily subdued as the twitchy agent in his grasp. Shockwave powered up his canon, with a readied aim focused on Red Alert's spark chamber in a silent threat towards Prowl.

((Links much appreciated, navigating livejournal is painful on dial up, fff. Also, part of this comment refers to the comm signal sent out by G1 Optimus here))

At the sound of an unfamiliar voice, Prowl spun in the direction of the sound, pulling his blaster from subspace with the motion. The motion was perhaps more paranoid than he might have normally reacted, but given the circumstances, he felt it was acceptable... and when he saw one of the mechs. Shockwave - more importantly, Shockwave aiming his cannon directly at a shackled Red Alert's spark. The smaller... creature (it certainly appeared Cybertronian, at least partially... what in the name of Primus was going on here?) wielded what appeared to be Red Alert's weapon, though the tactician wasn't sure of the immediate threat - the gun seemed awkwardly big for the strangely insect-like being ( ... )

Red Alert inwardly flinched; he had sensed the second Autobot's presence, tried to lure the others away, but that slagging ant-con just wouldn't listen. But in any case--was this Prowl his Prowl? Perhaps he was merely an illusion, or a doppelgänger. Perhaps this was all just one big trap. Perhaps they really were all dead, and they were seeing ghosts ( ... )

Inferno narrowed his optics as he attempted to use the sight on the rifle to better his shot. This blasted gun was too big for him to use, but if he could hang on to it long enough for the Royalty... He placed one hand on the back of the hand grip, another stretched just far enough to reach the trigger.

"The Queen, Maximal!" He shifted his slipping grip on the weapon. "Do not pretend as if you do not know where your comrades have taken the royalty ( ... )

Shockwave's hostage began to glitch uncontrollably at the stressful situation. The guardian was unfazed, however, and simply tightened his grip and realigned his aim.

His concern was focused instead upon his companion, who was becoming ever more maniacal as time went on. Shockwave was eager to find his leader, yes, but the frantic demeanor of Inferno was slightly off-putting to one as methodological as himself. Screaming might have been an effective interrogation method for the nervous Autobot in his grasp, but Prowl was an entirely different matter.

Well, this had been quite the swift descent into madness. Taking in stride Red Alert's glitching and the manic screeching of the smaller being, Prowl rapidly assimilated all this information, grip resettling on his blaster. "I certainly have no idea why we are here, if we are indeed upon Cybertron," he replied blandly. "I was on a shuttle to Autobot City. And I still know nothing of any royalty," he added, cool gaze slipping back to the rather frenetic mech.

Though the seemingly partially-organic 'bot was still struggling with the stolen gun - and then twice as much at attempting to aim at both Prowl and Red Alert - the tactician was much more concerned with the firm grip (and aim) that Shockwave had on the panicking mech. At the present moment, it seemed as though he could cause the most damage.

Queen Megatron? he wondered; it was the presence of this strange mech, and his use of such a ludicrous term, that slid Prowl's convictions back on the side of all of this being some very strange fabrication by the Decepticons or some ( ... )

Optimus pushed himself to accelerate as far as his alt-mode could go, frantically thinking as he did. They were not on Earth, but on a planet that for all they knew could simply be creating illusions off of their most treasured memories. He wasn't leading his men, but a Mirage that looked like the one he knew and yet wasn't him ( ... )

As discussed, Mirage found a turn-off just before they came into view of their enemies, and he sped down another route, leaving Optimus Prime to take the direct path ( ... )

This was all getting rather out of hand. Someone who appeared to be Optimus Prime, though probably nothing more than some sort of frantic delusion, had joined the squabble. This would normally elicit joy and a sense of hope from Red Alert, but he didn't trust a single one of these mechs, Decepticon or Autobot or mutant organic thing ( ... )
