And there's the left twitchy hand thing again. Why does that endear me so?

But now I think it's more of an ESS thing than a Reid thing, and if I see him do it on another show or movie, I will squeal and flail like the fangirl that I am NOT.

I definitely think it's an ESS thing-watch at 0:20.

GTFO! And he's wearing plaid and is so freaking c.u.t.e. And I'm fangurling terribly.

Watching that made me all blushy.

I could never attend a fan event because I would die of awkwardness.

thanks for sharing that! :D

Ah that dream sequence! So cheesy. "Yes Luke, I'm getting my eyesight back, so now I can see you as my gorgeous muse boyfriend who will leave his family and hometown and move to LA to support me as I further my career!"

Bitch, please. Like he thinks of Luke as "perfect." That's more like the image of who Noah thinks and wants Luke to be -- a silent figure.

THIS. So much. Noah has never wanted Luke for who he actually is, but as some dreamy ideal that only exists in his addled mind.

Yes! I forgot to mention that "dream" analysis is my favorite part of amelia's post! so very true. Noah does love this perfect image of Luke, and they do get along quite well as friends, but as history shows us, all the times Luke is not perfect Noah drops him like a lucky clover.

As much as scenes with Noah pain me, I really liked the pre-op camera thing. Luke reminds Noah he has an "amazing surgeon". Later when Reid enters while Luke is sitting on the bed and Noah's arm is around him, Luke gives us THE BEST "caught with my hand in the cookie jar" look.

He is very aware of his feelings for Reid at this point and it scares him to death. He has so little personal experience to draw on.

Time to nitpick. How did Katie know Noah was having his surgery today? Would Reid break his Dr/Patient privilege and tell Katie?

We established the previous episode that Luke was not family and therefore was not entitled to hear of Noah's case, yet today Luke is being told everything. I guess those last minute legal forms come in handy again.

I'm sure Reid said he had surgery in the morning and maybe slipped and said it was Noah or maybe Reid was acting weird about it so Katie guessed--maybe? Or he could've just outright told her--if he just said it was Noah's surgery, there really isn't too much that he's saying that he shouldn't.

Like everyone else, I cringed at Luke and the camera, but Luke was being a really good, supportive friend here. The "I'll see you later" exchange was sweet.

I liked the pre-surgery banter between Reid and Noah. He was a good doctor to Noah and he really cared about him as a patient.

I loved Katie and Luke. Luke was in serious denial here, though. He was really perceptive about how living with Katie and Jacob and how Bob treating Reid like a long-lost son may have changed Reid. He is right, of course, but it seems like he isn't ready to accept his own role in that. I think deep down he knows Katie is speaking the truth when he comments on her matchmaking mission, but he goes on to say it isn't the right time to go there with Noah's future hanging in the balance. I think Luke feels guilty about moving on when Noah may still be blind, which we'll hear again during the second kiss scene.
