This evening headed over to the TSO tribute to the music of James Bond with feature vocalist Capathia Jenkins who rivaled any of those who sang the original songs! Picked up new CDs by Daughtry, 30 Seconds to Mars, Shakira and Ellie Goulding all on sale except 30STM but they're never on sale for some reason. Meh.

At the last minute I heard about HMV's 'epic' sale on CDs for $5, $10 & $15 as well as DVDs/BluRays at 40% off on any multi discs including TV series. Sadly they did not have the BluRay of Torchwood or I would have bought it. Did end up buy Ellie Goulding's CD for a whopping $10. Wanted to buy a bunch of things but I didn't budget for it so didn't ( Read more... )

Just bought CDs at HMV (yes I'm old school but if my hard drive goes down then I don't have to re-purchase all the music). There was talk at work about HMV pulling out of Canada due to dwindling CD and DVD sales (even though reports refute this). Tickets to Toronto Consort tonight for the original Carmina Burana at Trinity-St Paul's church....TC is a Baroque, Renaissance and Middle Ages chamber ensemble featuring singers and instrumentalists for flute, percussion, guitar, lute, recorder and keyboards in case you were wondering.
