Ritsuka had made a rush to the window, hoping to prove to himself that this was some sort of horrible trick, and there he froze, starring at those masks, instantly drawing him back into his memories, even from this distance. "Nnn-" He stumbled back, eyes wide and shaking his head slowly in disbelief. "No. No no no, stop," he pleaded, cradling his head to shield the place where his ears should have been. He screamed as the building shook with the first blast, and fell back as one tore through the second floor, giving a small whimper.

"Soubi."

Vera stood still in shock as she heard the Joker's message, there was no way he could do that but he managed to get a hold of motherfucking military-grade explosives before so-The feeling of the building shaking as it was hit confirmed her suspicions as she stumbled before righting herself, so that when the next blast shook the building she didn't fall flat on her ass.

The soldier grabbed her assault rifle and submachine, along with the ammo, out of her backpack so that she could keep them on her person; both weapons had a sling so the submachine hanged in front of her while the rifle laid against her back, hidden by her trench coat. By the time she got herself prepared, the third blast had come and gone so it was only a matter of time before there was more blasts and the building collapsed. And she, along with others plus Grimmer were stuck on the eighth fucking floor and above, while most of the floors below were on fire. A quick look out her window alerted her to where the blasts where coming from, and even though from what she ( ... )

Grimmer was just waking up when the Joker's message came blasting out of his PDA. He stared at it for a long moment in mild surprise; he knew that the monster clown was going to get bored and pull off something like this. After all, wasn't the...incident with Ritsuka...the Joker's attempt to initiate the other Nescreans into fighting him? Even though Grimmer refused to be like the Joker, he was still capable of understanding or recognizing the motives behind empty monsters like The Joker or Johan Liebert.

Still, Grimmer didn't think The Joker would get fed up so soon. Once his leg had become better, he had planned on investigating into this guy, and hopefully finding ways to prevent him from harming the children living here. Grimmer would like to say that he planned on killing the Joker, but the former Stasi was not so naive as to think the clown would make such a thing easy ( ... )

Vera didn’t need to be told twice as she was already heading straight for the stairs to the lower floors, making sure to pull Grimmer behind her; as much as she didn’t want to use the stairs, escape via windows at this height was a fucking stupid idea that would result in broken bones and going up the stairs to get the others would only increase the chances of being stuck on the upper floors as the fires spread. This thought didn’t stop her from glancing towards the stairs to the floor above; hopefully those above them would be down soon ( ... )

When Vera showed Grimmer the PDA's message, he nodded quickly once he read it, and began to watch behind them as they ran down the stairs. Despite his injured ankle, he did a very good job following behind her. His foot felt weak and it did hurt, but he'd be able to continue running until things were safe. He'd deal with any extra injuries to it once they got out ( ... )

Matthew Williams was, not, by any means, a person very good at waking up. The Canadian normally preferred to sleep in as late as possible, and often times he had arrived miserably late for political meetings in his homeworld because of that habit ( ... )

Had it been earlier this month, the first thing Sasuke would have done was get Itachi and run. While he still would do that, he'd go about it differently this time around ( ... )

Even away from his... 'Home,' Charles was up before the sun and doing some sort of work. In this case he was up fixing up the mess he was calling an apartment. All in all, it wasn't that bad of a mess. Well it wasn't that bad of a mess until the floor shook and glass shattered, sparkling shards falling around him.

Charles calmly fixed his suit, brushing it off to be sure no glass or dust covered him before straightening his tie and running a hand through his hair to right any out of place pieces. A heavy sigh escaped the man as he moved about in his apartment to the door, bracing himself as he felt the floor shake even more violently then it had before. So it was an attack on the building rather than an accident. Nothing too new for Charles.

Slipping out of the apartment with his handgun held close to his chest, the CFO moved around the halls of the apartment floor, avoiding as much falling, flaming ruin he could, occasionally flattening himself out against a wall when something fell just a bit too close for comfort. As he checked ( ... )

Once Matthew had determined that the two Japanese individuals on his apartment floor were okay, Matthew quickly headed for the exit of the building. It really didn't take him very long, and as he passed through the first floor he pulled his coat up to his face, at the same time as he shoved Kumajirou into his jacket; both of them doing their best to avoid inhaling the smoke ( ... )

Movement above and close by had Charles' attention divided. As something blew up near by, the man fired off a single shot to the area where the grenade had come from. He was in no mood to waste any ammunition on cowardly opponents that hid on rooftops ( ... )

'Don't worry, I generally don't attract that much attention in the first place.' Matthew internally responded, a element of bitterness to his thought. However, his outward expression remained relatively blank, and the Canadian nodded towards Charles nervously. "R-Right, I'll-aye!"

As the bullets hit the ground surrounding them, Kumajirou's fur went on end, and the polar bear scrambled closer to Matthew as the Canadian stumbled backwards in surprise. "F-Fuck!"

Matthew hissed after he had been shoved over, his packsack softening his fall, but also being abit awkward on his back. He rolled over to his side, and brought his hand up to his bleeding cheek; he was really lucky, a bullet had just grazed it. "N-Nope, I'm good! Those assholes..." He snarled as he dug into his pocket, withdrawing his own handgun. "Why are they doing this..."
