Working away. Looking forward to a couple gigs and 2 weeks in the States in December

Ha just read back on an entry a year ago, where I went skating with Kat for the first time. Well I joined the Dublin roller derby team. Started skating Sept '11 and passed freshmeat and became a league member in Nov. Made the team in May. Try outs will be happening again at some stage soon so I hope I can keep my spot. It's been steady rain all day, but that's perfect because I came down with a cold yesterday evening and got to sleep it (hopefully) away all morning. It's been a couple months since my last post but life has been pretty good in the meantime. No complaints about work, and Andy has been in his new job for a week now and likes it. So we are very happy and lucky. I love browsing Pinterest and sometimes look at the blogs that pictures are "pinned" from. A couple ones have been pregnancy stories and ( Read more... )

 Coming up to the last week of training here in Belgium. Last weekend I got to fly home to Dublin and spend time with Andy and it was wonderful. We went to went Temple Bar and watched Black Swan and had dinner at Tante Zoe's. Then Sunday relaxed, watched a couple episodes of the Wire and went to the Woolshed later that night for the Super Bowl. ( Read more... )

 Quick update as battery is running low. I start my new (permanent!) job next week as a Java developer for a financial software company. Yay! In Dublin, on the southside which I'm happy about even though I live on the northside because it's nice to go out there. Andy and I are going into the city tomorrow to shop for new work clothes, very excited ( Read more... )

 Andy has AS and is on meds for it for now, he'll go back to the doc in November to see about a long-term medication but he is back to normal and we are so, so thankful. The doctor is really great, he got Andy into the hospital for 3 nights to get all the tests done and he's really attentive, we couldn't ask for a better doctor ( Read more... )
