I try to get out for a walk every day with Emma and usually wlak along the canal, the noise of the water, ducks, swans etc being more preferable to that of cars etc. To get to the towpath, we cross a footbridge. V brief update
Emma gained 7oz last week - hopefully the slow weight gain stint is over. Having also changed her teat to the next size up, following a dream feed between 10-11pm she now sleeps through to 7-8am - bliss, long may it last ( Read more... ) -

J has just given me a potted update of the recent RPG weekend. Imagine my amusement when he informed me that his character had been John Maguire aka Harry "Pickaxe" Molson, a Gangster Enforcer and right-hand man of notorious and powerful gangster, Jack "The Hat" McVitie. Emma has only put on 1.5 oz in three weeks; nothing obvious as to why - still eats well (random day of super vomit should amount to this plus I moved her back to three-hourly feeds), nappies good, she seems healthy in herself - but she's just not gaining weight. Interesting but Ooky
Watched an interesting C4 documentary screened on 9 September on cross-breast feeding. Found the presenter Kate Garraway irritating as usual, but the subject matter was thought provoking though occasionally ooky. I am very disappointed...
... at the poor coverage of the Paralympics. Only a month ago, we had wall-to-wall coverage of the Olympics on terrestrial channels, Beeb 1 and 2, knocking out the myriad of mind-numbing daytime TV, plus upto 3 additional Freeview channels - yes, we don't have Sky, where there were a further 4-5 channels of coverage ( Read more... ) -
