I am very disappointed...

... at the poor coverage of the Paralympics.  Only a month ago, we had wall-to-wall coverage of the Olympics on terrestrial channels, Beeb 1 and 2, knocking out the myriad of mind-numbing daytime TV, plus upto 3 additional Freeview channels - yes, we don't have Sky, where there were a further 4-5 channels of coverage ( Read more... )

A reasonable amount of coverage on digital. Nowhere near the other but it's there for the seeker. I was glued to the cycling yesterday.

Agreed, it's there but 10am - 4pm on Freeview BBC digital plus the 60-minute recap on BBC terrestrial each day is a very poor second to the 17 hours a day terrestrial coverage plus 2-3 Freeview BBC digital appearing to run 24 hours a day during the Olympics, albeit showing repeated footage at times. (Can't comment on Sky's coverage as we don't have it)

I too have continued to enjoy the cycling:-)

However compared to a few Paralympics ago it is a huge amount of coverage. The Beeb still have the same main anchor commentators out there, PM on Radio 4 is doing same the 'Desk of Sport' slot as they did during the Olympics. I can't remember how much coverage the Athens games got but I don't think it was as much as this.

Gibbins noted last night that the interviews with the paralympians are generally more coherent than the interviews with the olympians which is is pleasant and very welcome change for the better.
