It's unclear how much LJ Tokens is needed to purchase anything. I've added an LJ userhead in my cart to make a test, and it does not say how much tokens it cost, it says: 119 RUB (≈1.56 USD)

Are you going to pay in LJ Tokens that you already have?

I have 324 tokens, it tells me that I can pay with them, but not how much it would cost. I won't try to purshase it, because I do not currently want to change my userhead. I think it used to be 99 tokens for an userhead. Is it because LJ tokens won't be used anymore ?

1 LJ Token equals 1 RUB. We will consider making the cost in Tokens more obvious. By the way, Custom userhead used to cost $1.99 or 199 Tokens, so it's cheaper now! $0.99 was the basic price for Virtual Gifts, which are 69 RUB or Tokens now.

Would I still be able to use Paypal to pay for it? I'm Canadian, so I don't mind a conversion anyway, but I don't have a credit card

The PayPal option has been removed temporarily, it will become available again at a later date. Unfortunately, we don't have the exact time-frame for it yet. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this causes you until the option is re-implemented.
Please note that you can also pay with a debit card.

I don't have a credit card or a debit card I can use online.

A bunch of people (in this comment section) have said that this site is not secure for credit card transactions.

I will just wait for when/if the paypal option returns. My icons, if they become inactive, will remain on the server.

Thanks so much.

Why can't you keep things in USD to make life easier for international users or the option to pay in USD instead of Russian rubles like some websites do which would be easier

yeah. There aren't that many people on here so I don't know why they have to go and complicate it D:

Apparently it's actually got quite a big Russian userbase now (it was bought over by a Russian company iirc who started making a ton of small changes) so I can KIND OF understand why they're doing it, still kind of a hassle though.

I don't mind that much because as a Canadian, Paypal always shows me the conversion from USD but it is def annoying :')

Yes, I heard that the KJB didn't have much of a sense of humour.

It's a Russian company. Most of its userbase is Russian. The only surprise here is that it took this long.

Can't you do international versions in the appropriate currency? I guess you can't deal with the exchange rates eating into your profits.

The only question then is what currency is appropriate? :-) We are here from all over the world. I would personally prefer Canadian dollars, but how about Zimbabwe dollars? :-) I heard they are about 1 to 8bln ratio :-)
