room 316 - friday evening - 10/2

Tonight was a night for the stupidest of things. It was for being reckless and uncaring, for doing things that might bodily harm him. It was a night for drinking, or worse. Perhaps even illicit drunken glitter-less boykissing. It was a night to bury the pain in foolishness, alienate all who knew and loved him, and make his mother even more ( Read more... )

Joan was mildly unsettled by Adam's visit and after making sure that Grace and Adam found their way to the hotel, she made a beeline for Liir's room.

She knocked on his door and hoped he was there.

"Whoever you are," Liir snapped irritably, "you'll have to get the door yourself as the bloody dog won't actually let me out of this room."

Joan opened the door with a concerned expression. "It's just me," she said. "Is now a bad time?"

Makejoy padded up and whined as if asking aunt Joan why Daddy was being so grumpy.

Liir, for his part, continued making tea in a way that could only be described as 'the postal employee the day before'.

[Because the mun couldn't resist a post like this, no...]

"Liir?" Ino carolled. "You alive?"

Her mood, at least, was pretty fantastic so far.

"YES!" came the snap from inside, accompanied by a very sad dog noise and burrowing at the door.

"Makejoy, honey," Ino said, choosing to ignore the snap temporarily. "Can you move away from the door? Auntie needs to get it open."

And if it was locked, she'd kick it down. Ino was pretty simple that way.

"You know," she continued, "considering that your daddy is in a bad mood and that's bad for you, sweetie."

She did not particularly expect Makejoy to understand all of that, hence her next step being to try to open the door carefully so she didn't shove Makejoy.

It was unlocked. And Makejoy was a very smart dog and thus was well clear of the door when it opened.

Liir, meanwhile, was making tea as if he was currently in a prison camp and planning escape by poisoning the guards.
