Age: It is impolite to ask a lady her age. :| She's old, OK? Probably centuries upon centuries. She appears to be, like, late-30's/early-40's, maybe. Her sharp features and horns don't exactly help with pinning it down. All made a bit moot by the fact that I'm apping her as a Prinny, though, isn't it?
Background: OK, so, once upon a time, King Stephen ruled his kingdom, but he and his wife were having a helluva hard time with that "producing an heir" thing. But then they managed to pull it off and had a baby girl, whom they named Aurora, because she ~*filled their lives with sunshine*~. Thrilled, they threw a huge party and invited everyone ever, with a single exception: the evil fairy, Maleficent. Maleficent, naturally, was not at all pleased by this development, and showed up anyway, because, seriously, it wasn't like they could stop her. :| She bestowed a "gift

The good fairies, however, had different plans. They freed Prince Phillip from his bonds and aided him in his escape from Maleficent's forces. Maleficent was brought out from her quarters by the screeching of her raven familiar, before one of the fairies turned it to stone. Realizing that Prince Phillip was escaping and would revive Princess Aurora, Maleficent ascended to the top of her fortress and cast a spell that surrounded King Stephen's castle with harsh, thorny brush. When Phillip managed to cut through this successfully, Maleficent transported herself to the front of the castle before transforming into a massive dragon. In this form, she and Phillip did battle. Maleficent appeared to have the upper hand, until the good fairies enchanted his magical Sword of Truth to fly swift and sure, and Phillip threw it at Maleficent, stabbing her in the heart. In her death throes, she fell off the cliff she was perched upon and, after hitting the ground, all that apparently remained of her was her cloak with the blackening Sword of Truth

Maleficent [3/3]hotandcoldrpDecember 15 2008, 05:38:41 UTC
Class Title: Mistress of Prinny Evil
Immediate Possessions: A magical scepter.
Deposited Possessions: I'm going to assume that she had a sizeable amount of treasure stashed in the Forbidden Mountain and say it converts to about 20,000,000 HL. Also: -1 blackened Sword of Truth. -1 raven familiar, turned to stone.
Sample Entry: This is unacceptable! I am Maleficent, the Mistress of All Evil, not some sort of flightless bird. I shall find whatever poor fool is responsible for this and they shall pay heavily for this insult, mark my words. And once this silly little mess has been handled, I shall return to King Stephen's kingdom and have my revenge on that damned prince and those silly little fairies. If those imbeciles thought that they could be rid of me that easily, then they're even more foolish than I'd previously thought.
Background: In the land of Tellius, goddesses once walked the Earth. Well, at first it was just the one goddess: Ashunera, who eventually split into two: Ashera, the embodiment of order, and Yune, the embodiment of chaos. At the time, Yune’s emotions were rampaging, and caused a great flood that killed a ton of people. Ashera and her chosen ones managed to defeat Yune and seal her within a medallion. In order to dissuade people from trying to awaken her, the heroes formulated the belief that a “dark god” was sleeping within the medallion, and that awakening it would destroy the world. In their defense, they had good reason to think it would

It was during this time that Ashnard was approached by Sephiran, Prime Minister of Begnion. Sephiran revealed to Ashnard the existence of Lehran’s Medallion, and when Ashnard learned it had the power to destroy the world, he was seized with a craving for its power and immediately set about trying to get hold of it. At some point during this plotting, Almedha gave birth to a son, whom Ashnard seized and threatened to kill unless Almedha’s older brother Rajaion submitted to the experimental feralization process. Rajaion selflessly agreed, and Ashnard transformed the noble dragon prince into a snarling draconic beast, riding him like a common wyvern. Almedha fled in guilt and misery, abandoning their son in the wilderness

Ike and his army returned to Crimea and breached Melior Castle in a final assault, eventually confronting Ashnard himself. Completely unapologetic for the horrible atrocities he had committed, Ashnard and Ike dueled, with Ike emerging the victor. Unwilling to lose so close to victory, Ashnard took hold of the medallion, dramatically increasing his strength and driving him completely insane. Even still, Ike and his companions managed to bring the Mad King down, and Ashnard died as he had lived: laughing in the face of his own death, completely content in the thrill of battle.
I’ll be taking him right before he touched the medallion.
Personality: Ashnard is literally defined by his belief in pugilism: his ideal world, the one he’s willing to commit horrible war crimes in order to achieve, is one in which the strong dominate the weak, regardless of money, class, or country. He has no patience for bloated, ineffectual rulers like the senators: Ashnard firmly believes that a leader should be physically stronger than any of his soldiers
( ... )
It’s interesting to note that while the other Daein-aligned characters are busy worrying about Daein’s future, and the good of Daein’s people, and whether or not they should follow the king’s orders, and all these other moral dilemmas, Ashnard just… doesn’t give a damn. He could care less what happens to Daein, what happens to the legions of men and women quite willing to give their lives for the crown he wears. Daein, her people, and everyone else in Tellius are useful means to an end, and nothing more. Ashnard has long since passed the point where he is capable of caring about anyone or anything but himself: he is completely, utterly, batshit crazy.
He will not be joining as a Prinny. At first. At some point I'd like him to get killed and then, well, let's just say that the only thing worse than a genocidal maniac with a gigantic sword is a genocidal maniac with a gigantic sword who explodes.
Immediate Possessions:-Will be keeping Gurgurant, his goddess-blessed sword. It’s completely unbreakable, super powerful, and shoots

Age: Late teens to early twenties physically. Actually several thousand years old.
Class Title: World Eater
Background: Gig is known as the God of Death and Destruction. 200 years ago he appeared in the world of Haephnes and wreaked havoc upon the land with three powerful, titanic entities called the World Eaters. The land of Prodesto, which had known peace for 50 years after the great Median the Conquerer brought about an end to the fighting soon knew the scourge of war once again. Gig was eventually defeated by the Layna the Firebrand, the daughter of the great Median the Conquerer. With his defeat, the World Eaters fell silent, although Layna's life was sacrificed in the process
( ... )
Personality: Gig is cocky, malicous, keenly intelligent, and extremely dangerous. As one of the stronger beings around, he's well aware of his power and isn't afraid to tell someone off, and his general solution to a problem is to hit it until it stops being a problem anymore. This method tends to work, so he sticks with it

Background: When Ema was very young, her parents were killed in a car accident. She was taken in by her older sister, Lana, a detective and aspiring prosecutor. Lana had attended law school with a woman named Mia Fey, whom she had been very close to, and shared a deep (intellectual) attraction with. However, despite their many similarities, including Mia also looking after a sister Ema's same age, the two women went their separate ways after graduation. Mia went on to become a defense attorney who eventually owned her own practice, while Lana joined the police force as a detective in hopes of eventually working her way up and fulfilling her ambition to be Chief Prosecutor
( ... )
Ema, for her part, was able to somewhat get past the incident. It had been really horrifying for her, and she usually avoided bringing up the incident at all. She'd always admirer Lana and wanted to follow in her footsteps as a detective, but she was also frightened away from that a little bit. However, she became even more determined than ever to work in law enforcement so that she could prevent people like Darke from hurting anyone else. She decided she wanted to work in scientific investigation, and became obsessed with forensics and the idea of using science to catch bad guys. But she also grew apart from her sister, angry that she had became such a cold person, and also feeling as though it was her fault
( ... )
The trial is over, and Phoenix apologizes to Lana, because while she was found innocent of murder, he wasn't able to get her off for tampering with evidence. But Lana smiles, because even though she will lose her job and probably go to jail, she's free from Gant and her crimes. Ema is happy, too, because finally her sister is smiling again, and back to the old Lana that Ema loved.
Ema thanks Phoenix for helping her, and then says goodbye to Phoenix and Lana. She's leaving Los Angeles to go to Europe to study forensic science.
Personality: Ema is in the very vein of the Ace Assistant model in that she is a quirky, cheerful, and cute teenage girl with hidden strength and passion. But Ema's passion is not for magic or burgers but for the modern miracle of science

Character Name: Saphir Wyon Neis (better known as Dist)
Canon: Tales of Symphonia
Age: 35 years-old
Class Title: Dist the Reaper (he'll either hack it or claim it's 'the Rose')
Background: Saphir grew up in Keterburg with Jade, Nephry, and Peony. Even then he was constantly vying for Jade's attention, more often than not spending a good portion of his time with the latter. As a child he possessed a very soft and quiet voice, almost as if he was too shy to speak. This didn't stop him from sticking to Jade like glue, despite how harsh and ruthless the other boy could be. When he and Peony had gone to skate on the ice, Saphir had followed without even knowing how to skate. He ultimately fell and started sliding towards his friend with the blades first, in which Jade promptly used an arte to drop the former in the freezing water. Needless to say, there was quite a commotion that followed
( ... )
At some point in the past he met Anise. According to Ion, Saphir was always seen eating by himself during mealtime; Anise felt sorry for him and approached the man on her own accord. She came to admit that he wasn't a really bad or good person, and that his tendency to go on and on about Jade was unnecessary. Since Anise was basically the first to come talk to him, Saphir tampered with Tokunaga to grant her the ability to manipulate the doll's size (it's implied he gave her the doll to begin with). Because of this, Anise was one of the rare people that was capable of seeing more than a snobby fool in him
( ... )
In the Tower of Rem (... where he's actually standing for once. Dist is more or less never seen walking, but riding on his flying chair until up to this point), Dist expressed his desire to bring Gelda back, claiming that Jade would return to his old self once their mentor was back. Followed by a verbal argument, their quarrel ended after a final fight against Kaiser Dist. From the machine's failure and other complications, there was an explosion as Dist caused the place to self-destruct. He was believed to be dead, but he actually survived and, after a silly pursuit and releasing Gelda's replica - who was finally destroyed by Luke and the others, he was thrown into jail. At the end of the story, he's the only former God-General to be alive.
Personality: Dist does not only pine for attention, but needs it for the sake of living. He is extremely needy and childish, trapped so much in the past to the point he hasn't properly mentally aged ever since the incident involving Gelda. Like any average child, he pouts and throws a tantrum
( ... )
Sample Entry: (he'll miraculously have his chair with him. Somehow.)
I was taken from my cell, only to be abandoned in this miserable dump. This is clearly unacceptable! I, the beautiful Dist the Rose, should not have to be trapped in a place as disgusting as this. It's too dark and eerie! I demand an explanation - even the prison had much better standards than this.
... Fine. If no one will answer, I'll have to find a way out myself.
More importantly: is Jade here? Or any of his acquaintances for that matter? I need to have a word with them, if you will.
