Built in 1953, this primary school stands adjacent to the high school in which our heroes awaken. Although three stories high, both stairwells have collapsed, leaving access to the upper floors impossible. However, the rubble provides enough of a slope to safely enter the basement, which contains the cafeteria and an unlocked bomb shelter.

Shikamaru volunteered to keep guard while Shijima and Yosuke got some rest. It wasn't pure altruism... He would've liked to get some sleep too but he didn't trust Shijima with the gun and Yosuke couldn't possibly aim it, so he was the only choice. He took up a place by the window where he could watch for anyone who approached by keeping an eye on the reflections in the glass trap he'd set up along the ledge. Directly across from him was the classroom door, and if anyone opened it there was no way he could miss. It was a clear shot ( ... )

Yosuke was surprised. He didn't think that he would be able to get to sleep -- especially with the thoughts that everyone was dying outside. Was trying to kill each other. Yet somehow, he did. Mostly dreamless, too. It had taken a couple of hours, but he suddenly felt just exhausted and needed to sleep. Maybe it was the oppressive atmosphere that did it? It took him a few tries to actually open his eyes; his hand lightly touching his forehead, like that would do anything to deter the headache that had come to him over night. If he could look, he'd notice that his face was looking a little flushed. Only natural with limited resources present that his wound would suffer an infection, produce the fever he was now suffering from ( ... )

By the time the morning announcements came, Shijima was already awake. She was seated on the floor, leaning against the teacher's table on the side facing the doors and nibbling on a cracker that came with the survival pack. If she could just transform, she'd be able to hunt mice and eat as much as she could, but alas, for some reason they did not work ( ... )

The playground between the schools has been reclaimed by the wild, with trees and bushes providing good cover. A domed jungle jim stands in the center, surrounded by a maze of slides and tunnel tubes. Only chains hang on the swingset, missing their seats.

At least there was a fucking reason why Hidan was tagging along with Kazama. They were comrades really, and anyway, Hidan had always told himself that if some fucker was going to kill Kazama, then it was going to be him. And if some stupid shit thought otherwise then Hidan wasn’t going to let that go - even if he was unarmed with blood dripping down his chin and smudging his face.

As Kazama had reached the door and gestured the albino to stop, Hidan let out a soft snort and a low hiss before ducking low and leaning against the same wall Kazama was leaning against. He peering through the creak of the door and yeah, he immediately knew who it was. No one could hide those tits or even mistake them for someone else’s, but his eyes had noticed the gun in her hand and he murmured to Kazama, " -- Fuck. So what now, shithead?" He rose slightly before continuing to speak, "We could fucking take that stupid bitch on -- score her weapon, too bad some pussy took my goddamn weapon." And he passed a glance at the other.

The ceiling of this century-old cathedral has collapsed but the belltower still stands, offering a 360-degree view of the building below and the neighboring cemetery. Several mausoleums offer shelter between the gravestones.
