It changed, though, when he reached the door at the end of the hallway and his hand fell upon the doorknob, because past the glass pane set in the doorway, he could see a figure standing in the playground. Immediately, he ducked to the side, out of the direct angle of the window -- peering out of it only from the corner of his eyes. The glass was dirty and cracked, obscuring his vision, but he could still make out -- blond hair, a smallish figure, a skirt -- a girl, then -- and most importantly, a firearm. Some sort of handgun, raised. She was playing then, maybe. Knowing that Hidan was still following him, he gestured for the other to stop, cautiously testing the doorknob to test if it was locked. -- it wasn't, and the door opened the tiniest bit in absolute silence.

As Kazama had reached the door and gestured the albino to stop, Hidan let out a soft snort and a low hiss before ducking low and leaning against the same wall Kazama was leaning against. He peering through the creak of the door and yeah, he immediately knew who it was. No one could hide those tits or even mistake them for someone else’s, but his eyes had noticed the gun in her hand and he murmured to Kazama, " -- Fuck. So what now, shithead?" He rose slightly before continuing to speak, "We could fucking take that stupid bitch on -- score her weapon, too bad some pussy took my goddamn weapon." And he passed a glance at the other.

Left it was. Turning away from the slide, happy to leave this creepy remnant of childhood behind her. She moved slowly, trying to stay quiet as she did, looking around her surroundings as if expecting someone to burst from the shadows at any moment.

Looking briefly at Hidan, he muttered under his breath, "you probably don't know how to throw a knife, do you." The switchblade and the knife. He would have preferred to have kept the switchblade, but the throwing knife was worse in close combat. Hidan probably wouldn't be able to use it properly. And he paused for only a moment before tossing the closed switchblade to Hidan. Speaking low, "I'll distract her, you get in close." One hand drawing tight about the throwing knife, he groped along the rubble-strewn floor to pick up a handful of sharp rocks. He only had one knife and he'd save it for the best opportunity.
The girl was facing sideways away from the door, which meant a stealthy exit would be impossible. And so, though he swung the door open near-silently, he didn't bother to move slowly -- in an instant, he burst out, casting the handful of rocks in the direction of Seras' face and running in a wide arc to duck behind a metal slide. Trying to lure Seras' attention away from the doorway.

"Oi, oi. I got this shit! Quit your fucking lecture already." And finally he stood up straight, flipping the switchblade in hand as he watched the other burst the door open and rushing to the other side as he threw a handful of rocks at the bitch’s face. (And yeah, he knew Seras. Fuck, he fed her, but that didn’t mean Hidan actually liked her, she was a fucking cop, after all.) and within moments of Kazama maneuvering, Hidan moved in the opposite direction with a half-smirk to move in closely with the handle of the switchblade in hand, and the blade itself motioning to rip through the side of Seras’ waist with close proximity.

A second to brush her face glean of grit and she was shooting a look after the culprit, shooting a brief spray of bullets after them that hit metal and not much else. Right, she forced herself to calm. He couldn't have a projectile weapon, else wouldn't he have shot her at the start? Or he was playing his cards close to his chest... "Hey-" she started, before he eyes widened.
A slight crunch of gravel was what saved her, she dodged and so the switchblade only cut along her side, clothes and the top layers off flesh. Gritting her teeth she spun back around and squeezed the trigger, not bothering to look who it was first.

By the time she'd turned her aim onto Hidan, he was already ducking out from behind the slide, throwing forth the knife after only a split's second aim. He'd had enough practice with the sport to send the blade flying in a straight path at his target -- Seras' chest, right near the place in her ribcage where her heart should be. (Never aim for the arm, the hand -- always aim for something you will be certain to hit.)
There wasn't any time to check the state that Hidan was in. Without pausing in his dash, he lunged at her to catch her gun arm and drive the muzzle away from himself or Hidan, attempting to wrestle the weapon away, or to force her down.

When the rapid gunfire had pierced the air as Seras held down the trigger, Hidan quickly rushed to the side -- his arm getting punctured by several bullets in the process that caused him to stumble and fall on the hard ground. But he didn’t waste any time of getting up, because the moment he saw Kazama dashing towards her, Hidan did the same in the opposite direction, avoiding the gunfire as he saw Kazama reaching to lunge towards her.
With a twitch of pain that pulsed through his arm, throbbing with an unfamiliar pain, Hidan winced before making his way to the other two in a less-than-perfect dash. His uninjured arm held the switchblade in hand and if Kazama was successful, then Hidan would take the opportunity to ram the blade in Seras’ abdomen.

Lucky, or perhaps not so lucky... her ample chest saved it from being lethal. But still it hurt, made her cough and grit her teeth. Before she could react to more the first man - one she didn't know - came at her again, grabbing for her gun arm. It was with desperation she opened fire on him, struggling to keep the gun aimed up.
And then Hidan was there again, her eyes opened wide and her lips parted in a pained scream as the switchblade went into her stomach. No no nooo... she didn't want to die! The gun loosened in her grip as blood spilled out of her mouth now, the blonde desperately hammered her fist into his face.

The brief moment during which Seras reeled back an arm to punch Hidan was enough for him to wrestle the gun away. And turning it around to aim at her -- even though it would take only a split second, every moment mattered -- would take too long. Grabbing it by the body, he swung it in a sharp arc, hitting Seras at the base of the skull with the corner of the rifle butt, heralding a dull crunching noise.
It was enough to send her crumpling to the ground, and Kazama stood staring at her for a long moment, still holding the firearm in both hands. He'd either knocked her out or broken her neck -- if it was the former, she'd probably bleed to death right here, and if it was the latter. -- then there was nothing more to do.

Too bad his ruined arm could barely fucking move, but with enough effort with the appendage that was held buried numerous bullets, Hidan’s other fist grabbed at the handle of the switchblade, but only for Seras to reply with a smack of her fist against his visage, crunching the bones of his nose into fragments as a heavy rush of bloody rivets dribbled from his lips and chin. It was a quick slice of her sternum that was to follow as the other sent Seras onto the ground with the end of the machine gun.
Hidan let out a deep groan, one of accomplishment as he looked down at her with blood pooling around her body and a throbbing immense pain at his arm littered with hot lead -- and letting out a low pained groan at the damage inflicted on him. The sleeve of his hoodie wiped at the blood from his nose as he leaned down to remove the knife from her chest. He gazed up Kazama and the mangled flesh before muttering with fatigue in his voice. "You fucking idiot. Don’t get in the way next time."
