I've realized over the past year or so that I'm actually really interested in event planning. I'm kind of considering going and trying to be an intern for an event planner or a wedding planner after the summer is over. I know that I don't want to do this for my career, but I wouldn't mind being part of it and learning some tricks of the trade. The

If you're looking for more ideas for opportunities, you might want to talk to some of the Arisia (big nerd convention every January) people. It's a huge event, put on entirely by volunteers, several of whom are in our social circles. I could put you in touch with someone if you'd like.
