So... that was a flood.

It all seemed so harmless at first, but it quickly went downhill, didn't it?

I've got a question for you, actually. [Eddie disappears off screen, and comes back with a little piece of card, then holds it up to the camera. The card is a square of orange, much like a paint sample swatch ( Read more... )

surprisingly competent, complimentary colours, painting by numbers, won a prize for mustard, not a chromotologist really, secretly a victorian

Roots are white man. [He knows, he's had to dig for them] What, you don't know what color a root is?

Not... vegetable roots? I don't know, I don't farm them, but that's the colour the vegetables turn up on your plate.

I know carrots are supposed to be orange, but I can't see it unless it's been given Univisual colour. I was wondering how accurate the Univisual colour was.

Well, yes. But is it carrot orange?

It's the sort of orange a picture of a carrot might be, but I don't believe I have ever seen an actual carrot quite that shade.

...That's actually a very interesting perspective on it.

A friendly game of cricket would be a corking way to pass the afternoon. I've nearly finished reading a splendid little book called Ethics, Institutions, and the Right to Philosophy. I'd be happy to join you as soon as I've flipped the last page.

The colour seems to me just a touch redder than any of the fruits, roots, or gourds mentioned. It is, however, very close. Perhaps the colour of a persimmon?

Brilliant! That book sounds... interesting.

So you think a carrot is slightly towards the yellow side of things? Right. I'll make a note of it.
