It's been a while since I last posted. I keep having tidbits hop into my brain that feel like a sentence, disconnected from all other sentences, that could go into a post. I realized that I linked to a rant opposite of the one I meant to in my last post. This rant about nice guys actually aligns *correctly* with my opinions on my thought process when I was a "nice guy" in my younger days, and why I don't want to do it again.

It sometimes takes effort to remind myself that I really do prefer being the person who cares more in an interpersonal relationship of some sort. Love unrequited may not be optimal, but it's still better than being the one who has to deal with the guilt of having someone who'd move the world for you and not really caring. No, I do not think deinna and I will be dating again. For one, she's already said she wouldn't date me again, so Q.E.D.

I get a warm feeling and smile when adults treat children like people. I was eating dinner tonight and in front of me were three people. The young girl was in the six to eight range, I expect, and the two adults were in that ambiguous fifty-something look that could have been parents, grandparents, aunt and uncle, or kidnappers.
