It's been a while since I last posted. I keep having tidbits hop into my brain that feel like a sentence, disconnected from all other sentences, that could go into a post. If I actually put them all down, it'd be long, and I wouldn't be able to cut it into cohesive sections, and that seems silly. So I'll do a small portion, instead ( Read more... )

You're really cute, too. And I really like that icon, and I'm not entirely sure why. Something about the hair, I suspect, and the body position.

There are enough parts of DC that you can avoid the crime, squalor, fanatics, pollution, congestion and overpopulation. You're stuck on the expensive, though. Still, would be nice to have you in town.

The unfortunuate reality, however, is that my company can either pay me $45k to live a middle-class lifestyle in Blacksburg, or they can pay me $70K-$75K to live a comprable middle-class lifestyle in the greater DC Metro area. I can't really blame them for taking the smarter, cheaper road. I can honestly picture my CEO packing up and moving from Vienna to Blacksburg when his kids head off to college.
