Normally, I begin reflecting on atonement and Yom Kippur, forgiveness and the asking of it at least a week before the day actually gets here. I always read over my previous entries on Yom Kippur. It helps me to see how much I've grown over time, but it also reminds me of what I was aiming for, and where I have fallen short. Awe. Not "aw" or even "ow."
Another Rosh Hashanah has passed, my house is once more clean for the new year (and, gasp, more unpacked than we were before). We had a wonderful first night at matb37 and boroda145's house, and a great, roudy 2nd night dinner with 14 people at our house (LJ-capable attendants included: chaiya, hakamadare, matb37, and mrsix).
