Engrish or Janglish or something

Japanese and English(and other European languages) have many differences.
I think in English when I use English. It's so tough to think in Japanese when I speak English. The differences are so huge and to translate is also difficult...

I think one of big differences between Japanese and English is "there is" and "have(or get)".
For example )

Aww! This was such a cute and charming presentation, I like the times you phrased your thoughts on what the phrase in one language might sound like to someone speaking the other.

The bit about "do you hold your friend in your arms?" totally made me smile! :D

Oh, it's my plesure for personal. I'm interested in differences.

English "have" is also used Japanese "own" things.
But, "own" is too serious for small things on daily. It fits "have" much more.

Yeah it would be wired, "ハンバーガーと行きます"! I may ask "Where do you go?? Well, a hamburger...is...one of your friend??"
When you go to McDonald's in Japan, you'd better say "ハンバーガーにします". That's right. You will get a tasty hamburger.

Oh, you can take your time for a mail to me! Take it easy.

I know what you mean xD
For example, in Spanish we say "tengo 5 años" (I am 5 years old, literally "I have 5 years") or "tengo sed" (I am thursty, but it would be literally "I have thurst").
And some people usually think "Hey, how do you have thurst? Is thurst something you can put inside a bag or something? It doesn't make sense"

Ohhh, Spanish has like that "have"!
Yes, Japanese may ask, "How do you have your throat...? you cut it down!? Too scary!!!" XD
But, "have" is a so useful word, actually.
