Now, English is fun

This title also means "Then, English wasn't fun".

Honestly, foreign languages were totally boring for me when I was a student. We have to study English as a required subject at school in Japan though, I wasn't interested in it at all.

I could say, I was brought up in surroundings that was filled the very Western cultures and English things.

It's great that you've grown to like English and other foreign languages! :D I liked English even as a child, but I did find it a dull subject at school (I took a private English course outside of school; it was more fun and more useful).

Also, I think we tend to dislike languages when we're forced to study them. One of the reasons I never liked studying Spanish (which is also a compulsory subject in Brazilian schools). XD But once it stops being a compulsory subject and it becomes a practical way to communicate with people in real life situations, it's a lot more interesting. ^^

I completely agree with you. I found English totally looked like worthless when I studied it at school even though it's actually quite useful! I don't like anything forced too /:
I have to say, English I was taught at school was boring but the real English is definitely interesting.

UWAAAAAAH your mum is a beatles fan too?! how awesome!! *v*/////

it's cool that you were brought up in such an unconventional setting like that! XD

that's true; it's always fun to be able to communicate, across borders, with other people from other places. it's a great reason to learn languages!! ;v; not for grades or school, but because you enjoy learning and using it!

Yeah, my mom told me how great the beatles was.
Like this, "When they came to Japan, many girls were too excited and fainted away at the concert!! Nobody can do anything like that except them!!"

I love to talk with one who is from outside Japan. Because they have different culture, thought, customs. Those things makes my life better. Japan would be a quite small country, but I can expand my horizons to communicate with many people from all over the world.

YEAHHHH i have the japan concert on dvd and eheheh they did look really dapper ;v;/// did your mum catch them in concert?!

i think so too; i have many friends who went for exchange programmes and met up with so many different people all over the world, and they all say the experience really helped widen their perspectives, and give them fresh new insight on the world. to learn about different cultures, traditions, walks of life and other people... this is what real knowledge and education is all about i think ;v; <3

She was too young to go to the concert when they came to Japan. I guess she watched that on TV.

Yeah, definitely. I think one who lives in this age should know there are many values and beliefs in the world. Oh, that's it! Imagine all the people sharing all the world~~ John, you're great.

I agree so much with you! When I was in school I didn't care about English. Lessons were fun and entertaining, but I didn't think it was useful. Now, my mind has changed a lot and I find that learning languages is a rewarding experience!

You.wrote.my.exact.thoughts!! I found English boring because I never learnt anything. If teachers made their classes more appealing, I'm sure more people would be interested in learning languages.
There are so many languages I want to know~! ♥
And when you are learning a language, you are somewhat learning about a country's culture as well, so you become a bit wiser <3

Vaya, ¿no lo sabes? Yo soy tu doppelgänger en realidad XDDD

>you are somewhat learning about a country's culture as well,
I think so. Every language has unique expressions, in particular, their idioms and proverbs. They have many hints of culture in that country.

I have to say, your icon is an epic. I can really imagine how Spain feels embarrassed XD

Btw, I've got your mail~~! It's useful as always!!

¡Ay! ¿Pero el doppelgänger no aparece cuando uno se va a morir? D: ¡Esfúmate, doppelgänger! T_T A no ser... Que en realidad yo sea tu doppelgänger (?)

> I have to say, your icon is an epic. I can really imagine how Spain feels embarrassed XD
Thanks xD I imagine Belgium thinking something like "what is this kid saying?" and Spain all embarrassed, since he is aware of having created a monster xD Romano will never know the truth, though. I bet he thinks his Spanish is perfect xD
Anyway, we all know that Spain is jealous because he wanted Romano to tell him to "dorle uh beso"

I'm glad you received it! :D Sorry for being so slow at replying~

Oh, Don't worry! you don't die now, I'm kidding. I bet you'll be dead in 23th century though XD

>I bet he thinks his Spanish is perfect xD
Exactly! ¡Noho! And I agree with you. I bet Spain do want to have a hug and kisses with Romano so badly.
