Now, English is fun

This title also means "Then, English wasn't fun".

Honestly, foreign languages were totally boring for me when I was a student. We have to study English as a required subject at school in Japan though, I wasn't interested in it at all.

I could say, I was brought up in surroundings that was filled the very Western cultures and English things.

UWAAAAAAH your mum is a beatles fan too?! how awesome!! *v*/////

it's cool that you were brought up in such an unconventional setting like that! XD

that's true; it's always fun to be able to communicate, across borders, with other people from other places. it's a great reason to learn languages!! ;v; not for grades or school, but because you enjoy learning and using it!

Yeah, my mom told me how great the beatles was.
Like this, "When they came to Japan, many girls were too excited and fainted away at the concert!! Nobody can do anything like that except them!!"

I love to talk with one who is from outside Japan. Because they have different culture, thought, customs. Those things makes my life better. Japan would be a quite small country, but I can expand my horizons to communicate with many people from all over the world.

YEAHHHH i have the japan concert on dvd and eheheh they did look really dapper ;v;/// did your mum catch them in concert?!

i think so too; i have many friends who went for exchange programmes and met up with so many different people all over the world, and they all say the experience really helped widen their perspectives, and give them fresh new insight on the world. to learn about different cultures, traditions, walks of life and other people... this is what real knowledge and education is all about i think ;v; <3

She was too young to go to the concert when they came to Japan. I guess she watched that on TV.

Yeah, definitely. I think one who lives in this age should know there are many values and beliefs in the world. Oh, that's it! Imagine all the people sharing all the world~~ John, you're great.

自分をビートルズファンと思ったことは無いのですが、すごく影響を受けています。
例えば、私の好きなJ-popの歌手( この記事に書いた)KANは、ビートルズのファンで、コンサートでジョンレノンのコスプレをしたりしています。
I like a singer who likes the beatles = I like the beatles????

Hahaha. 30 years have passed since he was dead, but many people are still loving him. That's absolutely cool.

Kan also likes Billy Joel. Some of his songs seem to be affected by Billy.

私もそう思います!
And I forgot adding this word. R.I.P. John Lennon. Today is his deathday. I found it on youtube in this morning.
