Also, I thoroughly enjoyed Kick-Ass. I was worried when I saw Mark Millar's name in the opening credits, because I didn't like what he did with The Authority and I despise Wanted. Target has The Ref for $5. If you do not own this movie, or you know someone who doesn't, go buy it! It is my favorite adult Christmas movie. (My favorite childhood Christmas movie is Miracle on 34th Street.)

A few months back I discovered that a Modesty Blaise movie had been made in 2003. What? I thought, why did I not know about this? After having watched it, I can tell you that I did not know about it because it is boring.

I just saw the trailer for 2012. (1) The special effects are way over the top. (2) Somehow I don't think it's going to be exploring the human condition.
