There was a professional photographer going around taking piccies.

I love the skirt that I am wearing - its nearly full length and has a 3 -4 inch velvet hem on the bottom. The top is horrible though. Its badly cut and seams are in precisely the wrong places. It wouldn't even fit someone who is a bean pole because its so badly designed. The whole set is Laura Ashley creation from quite some time ago.

Ooooh la-la, you like quite scrumptious with that red dress and that red lipstick! And the fur! Yumm! I really like that necklace too :-) What a fab place to go, a very unique setting. I'm glad thinhs picked up and you had a good time.

The red lipstick will be coming out again this weekend as I am WAAFing again. The dress is not that good - see my comments to Heidi above about it.

The fur is from the early part of the 20th century and has a label proudly declaring its from Harrods! It does need a good clean so I need to hunt out someone who specialises in cleaning old fur!

You will see some closer piccies of the necklace - its one made by my sister.

You can clean the fur yourself, as it is a light colour. Get a loaf of uncut white bread, and rub chunks of it into the fur till it becomes crumby. Or you can use Fullers Earth, talc or dry shampoo. (All rememdies my Grandma used.) You will need to give it a very good shake in the open air, and preferably a beating. Do not leave any substance in it as it will attract moths.
