Survived our first night
Last night, we slept in our new house for the first time. We have nothing but our pillows so we went to Ikea and picked up a futon couch bed thingie. I've been in Atlanta the last few days trying to find us a place to live. I thought I had found a place yesterday and put in an application. Today they let me know that they had 2 applications before mine so they would be processing them in order. I was specifically told that those previous applications were old and not being processed. Guess David gets a new night light
Saw the radiation oncologist today. My regular oncologist didn't think I would have to get radiation, but wanted me to get a consult just in case. The radiation doc said he had been thinking about my case and was on the fence, but in the end decided I should get radiation. If I don't get it, I have a 20% chance of the cancer coming back. Moving forward
We were approved for a mortgage, but it wasn't really in the price range we would prefer in order to get what we want in the area where we would like to live. So we have decided to wait. I'll have my RN end of December or beginning of January so better we wait until I am working full time. I haven't worked much at all now between nursing school and ( Read more... ) -

Yesterday, I had my second dose of chemo. still feeling good! I always see my doctor before receiving a dose. He stopped in the doorway and said I looked great. Found out this week that the tuition I am paying out of pocket just doubled. *sigh* It is now the same as the rent paid by a couple of my schoolmates. David and I are reworking the household budget to accommodate for it. We can manage, but it is definitely going to effect things.
