Just finished the first Arya chapter of AFfC.  I'd forgotten how much I love Martin's writing.  And this book doesn't disapoint from the outset.  The first 100 pages are as enthralling as the other books have been - so much so that I can barely put the book down.  It's a good thing.  I'd hate to have waited this long to be let down ( Read more... )

Just polished off American Gods, by Neil Gaiman.  I'm a fan of Gaiman in general, ever since Sandman.  The first novel of his that I read, Neverwhere, really caught my attention and since then I've kept an eye out for his work.  A few weeks ago, I tore through Good Omens (a collaboration with Terry Pratchett) and moved right into American Gods.  I' ( Read more... )
