My neighbour has done what I could not: organise someone to take down the jasmine vine that sat over the ruined fence that separated our two properties. They also took a fair chunk of the fence with them and now there is an open space between us, and I'm finding it quite liberating. Given that her backyard is a damn site bigger than mine I can't ( Read more... )

Hmmm, Halloween, huh? Does this mean there'll be some type of halloween type party event? *looks hopeful*

It's actually my good friends' Beej and Katie's halloween party, but anyone and everyone is most welcome to attend. (So far pretty much everyone has said err....umm... not if I'm not the one hosting. :P)

Well now I'm not nearly as impressed with your forward thinking... So what other kooky ideas have you guys come up with? My best Halloween was when I was about 9 years old. At the time we lived in Ireland and owned the really old run-down cottage next door. It had flagstones, a huge fireplace (well, hole in the wall) that you could fit in standing up, holes in the staircase, no electricity and plenty of cobwebs and dark corners. I went and checked it out when I was in Ireland and was disappointed that they had modernised it.

Geez, what does it take to impress you? If you can't plan your own funeral 60 years in advance, what can you do?

Talk about living in the moment! Is it comforting to know that when it comes to achievements I'm not nearly as hard on others as I am on myself?

If ever you need a coffin made of particle-board, you know who to call.

We have a coffin lying about in the flat. It's a proper wooden one and it belongs to my flatmate. Apparently it's very bad Feng Shui (now there's a surprise!). Not sure if particle board ones have the same effect though.

Feng Shui has an opinion on everything. Next they'll be saying that smearing blood all over my walls is bad. *rollseyes*

So what's your flatmate's excuse?
