Isabel was in the midst of packing up various knick knacks around the room. She wasn't avoiding thinking about the weekend. It needed to be done.

"Hello?"

"So you are well enough to answer your phone," Parker said, wandering around and doing the inverse of Isabel: finding places for her knick-knacks until October. "I just finished talking to Anders. Are you okay now?"

[izzyalienqueen]

"Yeah, I'll be fine," Isabel promised. "I'm just tired mostly."

[mparkerceo]

"What *happened*? Anders didn't have any details, like where you were, or what the hell was going on. Hell, that's appropriate. God, at least he was never as crazy as Dru, but still."

[izzyalienqueen]

"I got grabbed on my way to Luke's," she explained. "I was going to set up salt lines to protect Michael. Instead I wound up tossed in a cell in the underworld facing my worst nightmares. So it was not so much with the fun."

"Tell me he's dead now. Please."

[izzyalienqueen]

"Banished back to whatever rock he crawled out from under in the first place," Isabel promised. "People were pissed."

"Yeah, I can't see Zoe using anything but extreme force on him for that," Parker said, relaxing a little. "Here's hoping the next guy to get the job isn't, oh, a socieopath. Although I guess that won't be your problem any more, hunh?" She took a breath. "So. How bad was it?"

[izzyalienqueen]

"I'm suddenly a lot less sad to be leaving," she admitted. "So yeah, not my problem."

Isabel debated faking it, but figured that Parker would see through any lies. "Do you remember your dreams when the mummies came through?"

"Uuuuuugh." Parker shuddered at that memory, even two years later. "God, yes." She paused, processing the implication. "Oh, Isabel..."

[izzyalienqueen]

"It was just a nightmare," Isabel assured her. "I'm fine."

[mparkerceo]

"Good," Parker said fervently. "But I know how much that whole scenario sucks. It's an ongoing suck you can adjust to, but still." She sighed. "So how'd you get out?"

[izzyalienqueen]

"Classmates to the rescue, how else?" she replied. "Savannah found me, and managed to get me back to reality. After that it was run like hell, then back to the dorms to wait for Wyatt."

"Yay Savannah. I'll send her some great rescue-thank-you shoes, if you want." Parker shook her head. "Make him take care of you-- I'm assuming he didn't get kidnapped or anything. And at least this is the last time it's likely to happen before you're outta there?"

[izzyalienqueen]

"He's taking very good care of me," Isabel assured her. "He feels bad that I got grabbed but it wasn't his fault."

"It never is around there," Parker said, making a face. "Is it wrong that I'm counting the days 'til you're out of there? And Anders and Bridge and Xander too?"
