Originally my Trillian shawl was named "Trillian in the meadow," after the name of the yarn I'm using for it; dork that I am, it was briefly extended to "Trillian in the meadow at Tanagra." But as I got further into the knit and the colours started to emerge, it got re-renamed "Nephthytis Trillian," after the pink nephthytis that lives on my desk ( Read more... )

It's beautiful! *pets the yarn*

I wish either shawl were further along though--it was 64°F in my office yesterday morning and this morning, and I could use them. :P I spent my lunch hour yesterday sitting in my car listening to podcasts and knitting just so I could warm up.

I have blocking mats and blocking pins now; I'm going to need some lack blocking wires though. I guess the main objective with blocking this shawl is to open up the latticework edges on two sides.

I will--I've seen them used, and they seem like a good idea for straight lines, which I am not so good at.
