Originally my Trillian shawl was named "Trillian in the meadow," after the name of the yarn I'm using for it; dork that I am, it was briefly extended to "Trillian in the meadow at Tanagra." But as I got further into the knit and the colours started to emerge, it got re-renamed "Nephthytis Trillian," after the pink nephthytis that lives on my desk at work. (Which is named Nephthys. Who is the goddess after whom Nephthytis podophyllum is named in the first place. It's all very circular.)

I'm just getting to a sweet spot where the colours are starting to pool (I think you can get drummed out of some knitting circles for admitting that you LIKE it when the colours pool--I HATE stripes and self-striping yarn, I want to see the colours shift and interact), and it will be interesting to see how that changes as the rows get longer and longer. It's a very very VERY simple knit, just knits, purls, yarn overs, and knit two together, but I haven't gotten bored yet. Due to the notes on other people's projects I'm going to knit until I have 10% of the yarn left before starting the final rows and bind-off.

Lately all my knitting projects have my desk and office as their photo backdrop.
