After our little cold snap yesterday I want a better pair of mitts to keep in my office; the ones I have extend too far up my hands, making it hard to spread my fingers to type properly, and one thumb is bound off much too tightly. Poking around Ravelry doesn't bring up any patterns that suite me. I was sure Crazy Aunt Purl had posted something a while back about super-easy mitts (though I believe hers involved seaming--yeah right), but I can't turn it up with a little searching.
I still have some blue Wool of the Andes left from my
Palindrome hat; maybe I'll make plain tubular mitts with a cable running down the back to match the hat (and then hope I have enough left for a reasonably-sized Palindrome scarf). I might even try to knit them both at once on one circular needle and use them as a learning experience.
I spotted the hat in the computer room last night and wore it for a while because why not; if I'd had any sense I would have brought it in with me this morning!
I am also SUDDENLY IN THE MOOD TO KNIT AN ENTIRE '80s SWEATER OF BULKY YARN. RIGHT NOW.
