"Eh? Mamo-chan?!" Usagi's face lights up before she can stop it, before she can correct herself and remind herself that he may hate her, too - and that he's certainly not her world's Mamoru anyway. It'd be far too much to hope for that, even for her.

The tears that want to come out hide behind a cheerful smile, or one she hopes is cheerful anyway; they always do. It's cheerful and apologetic at once.

"Ah- I..." Oh, crap, and she didn't notice she was in his bedroom, either.

"I'm really sorry! I just sort of... ended up coming here..."

The interruption that comes this time is not the one he expected, and for a moment, he simply stares at... her? There's- a strange young girl in his room. It brings him to his feet quickly, giving the girl a confused look, even as he looks quickly around for anyone else. What?

"How did you get in here?"

"I promise I really don't know!" The lie is excusable; he sounds mad already. "I didn't come on purpose!" She turns her head and her eyes find the door. Right. She didn't come through there.

"But I'm not someone suspicious, or anything. I'm not a thief or something like that. I'm Tsukino Usagi; I'm a junior high student." She's too young to be a thief, Mamoru. But even Usagi can tell there's a lack of recognition there.

"Usagi?" He knows the name, and the girl even, but Usagi doesn't have hair like that. Well... Not in this form at least. It makes him look closer, however, squinting in the dim light of the room and ignoring his surprise... It is Usagi? The confusion doesn't leave his eyes, however, because it doesn't answer the question of how she got there- or why her hair is like that. Instead, he relaxes his stance, somewhat, even as he throws his gaze towards the door she herself had just looked at.

"Usagi, how did you get in here?"

Zoisite is entirely unembarrassed to find himself in Mamoru's bedroom, which may be embarrassing in itself. From habit, he kneels, arm propped against his knee and gaze lowered.

"Forgive me for intruding," he says. In this position, while he can't see Mamoru's face, he has the illusion of being alone with himself to help him sort through the myriad conflicting thoughts and feelings.

The intrusion is not unnoticed, and it earns a dirty look from Mamoru, even though the entrance is somehow different. For once, there was no music to mark his arrival. He stands anyway, frowning.

"I told you to leave."

His eyes widen; no, they bulge. Of all the reactions he'd expected, it hadn't been that. Even running, rather than that cold order. He can almost hear Kunzite laughing and asking what else he had expected but to be turned away; loyalty was always useless, and unwanted.

Had everything he'd done been that futile? Even if he cannot understand it, he should follow the true wish of the man in front of him. Perhaps he'd always been wrong to do otherwise. He remains staring at the ground another moment, then rises to his feet.

"I will do as you say," he agrees, and turns to go.

With the (more than a) bit of time he's spent with this man, he can tell that something seems... off. The surprise in the normally unflappable grey eyes, when Zoisite should have known what kind of reception he'd receive, returning so soon... giving up so quickly, without even an attempt at a rebuttal, and even the lack of the ever present (unwanted) title... It's enough to make Mamoru's eyes narrow once more, enough to make him wonder. Perhaps enough to...

"You're not usually this complacent. Why did you return so soon?"

"This again?" A man who may as well be Mamoru's double, who is Mamoru's double if Mamoru were wearing regal clothing in white, looks rather unimpressed to find himself suddenly here when he should be there. He folds his arms across his chest and looks Mamoru over.

"Chiba Mamoru, right?" It's uncanny how alike they look, but he refuses to believe his identity is decided by this future.

The sudden intrusion of- himself?!- brings Mamoru quickly to his feet, eyes wide as he stares at... well. Himself. There's a very confused look one his face, even as he readies himself for... he doesn't really know what he's readying himself for. But if the man before him tries anything, he'll be ready.

"Who are you?"

Why is he getting the new guy? Endymion tries to think how to put it that won't insane. Then Endymion realizes it sounds insane however he puts it.

"You wouldn't believe me," he says wryly. "I don't believe me, either, sometimes." He takes a glance around the apartment, and his first impression is small.

"Do you really live here?"

"This is my bedroom," he answers, still tense as he watches his look-a-like. It's odd, but he feels like he should recognize the (monstrosity of a) uniform the other is wearing. But then... He recognizes the man himself, though it should be impossible. His brow still furrowed, Mamoru takes a step away from the bed, just to have more space to move in, should he need it.

"How did you get in here?"

There is a girl who seems to be about sixteen years old standing near Mamoru's bed. She is far too cheerful to be talking to someone as lost in thought and serious as Mamoru right now.

"I made it to the past again! Are you glad to see me?" Lady Serenity can't resist a giggle, in the assumption that Mamoru, being Mamoru, being Mamoru, at least knows who she is.

She will soon be disabused of this notion.

While the appearance of random men in his bedroom is normal (disturbingly so, actually), the appearance of teenage girls is not. So the appearance of a pink haired girl that (vaguely) reminds him of Usagi makes him jump up quickly, eyes wide. What the hell?

"Who are you?"

Eek! He really doesn't know?! She'd better think fast. Telling him is... bad. Well, telling him in a way that would let him connect the dots is bad. It could interfere with everything that will happen. Even in all the worlds where she crossed time, she shouldn't have, and she wouldn't have if it hadn't been so important.

"Call me Chibi-Usa!" she decides with a broad smile. "It's a nickname." She hopes she looks appropriately sweet and non-threatening. He seems to be a little nervous.

That's probably a much safer answer than the truth would have been, considering how confused and somewhat tense Mamoru is. Trying to deal with having a past life shoved upon him is more than enough pressure; hearing about a future daughter certainly wouldn't help. Even her success in looking sweet and non-threatening wouldn't have helped.

"Chibi-Usa... How did you get in here?"

"Where is it this time?!" Nephrite is not amused to find himself standing in the middle of some tiny, cramped, human apartment. He glares at Mamoru as if this is all his fault, without realizing just who he's glaring at to begin with.

"Speak up!! Where is this?!"

kin_memory March 23 2010, 09:03:17 UTC
Oh shit. Zoisite coming, or even Kunzite, is one thing... But Nephrite? Mamoru has no doubts about the angry shitennou's loyalties, and has no desire to face off against him here, in his tiny apartment. So he jumps to his feet immediately, eyes narrowed as he looks at the other man, and readies himself to move.

"Nephrite."

"Huh?" Knowing his name gets Nephrite to take another look at the (puny human) guy who was here before him. Oh man!

"You!! What are you doing here?!"

kin_memory March 23 2010, 09:24:05 UTC
There's no way he'll answer that it's his own home that's been invaded, if Nephrite doesn't realize it. Which, of course, brings the question of how the hell the shitennou got there, and why. Mamoru gives him a hard look, fingers itching to at least have his cane, but it's all far out of reach at the moment.

"What do you want, Nephrite?"
