"Eh? Mamo-chan?!" Usagi's face lights up before she can stop it, before she can correct herself and remind herself that he may hate her, too - and that he's certainly not her world's Mamoru anyway. It'd be far too much to hope for that, even for her.

The tears that want to come out hide behind a cheerful smile, or one she hopes is cheerful anyway; they always do. It's cheerful and apologetic at once.

"Ah- I..." Oh, crap, and she didn't notice she was in his bedroom, either.

"I'm really sorry! I just sort of... ended up coming here..."

The interruption that comes this time is not the one he expected, and for a moment, he simply stares at... her? There's- a strange young girl in his room. It brings him to his feet quickly, giving the girl a confused look, even as he looks quickly around for anyone else. What?

"How did you get in here?"

"I promise I really don't know!" The lie is excusable; he sounds mad already. "I didn't come on purpose!" She turns her head and her eyes find the door. Right. She didn't come through there.

"But I'm not someone suspicious, or anything. I'm not a thief or something like that. I'm Tsukino Usagi; I'm a junior high student." She's too young to be a thief, Mamoru. But even Usagi can tell there's a lack of recognition there.

"Usagi?" He knows the name, and the girl even, but Usagi doesn't have hair like that. Well... Not in this form at least. It makes him look closer, however, squinting in the dim light of the room and ignoring his surprise... It is Usagi? The confusion doesn't leave his eyes, however, because it doesn't answer the question of how she got there- or why her hair is like that. Instead, he relaxes his stance, somewhat, even as he throws his gaze towards the door she herself had just looked at.

"Usagi, how did you get in here?"

Her hair is a very beautiful style! And it's traditional in her family! But Usagi shakes her head. "I really don't know. I can go, if you want. I know you didn't invite me, so I really should. But.. I was glad to see you."

His brows furrow a little more, but he sighs, relaxing completely now that he's sure, and he gives her what is almost a bemused look. She looks so nervous, somehow, and... well, it's a little strange, seeing her hair blonde like that, when she's not transformed.

"Calm down, Usagi. I just wasn't expecting you, especially like that." His eyes flick toward her hair. "Are you a closet Sailor Moon fan?"

A closet Sailor Moon fan? (She has fans!) Hey, that's a great excuse explanation! "Something like that!" she says and gives an embarrassed, somewhat forced laugh. "I guess it seems childish, huh?"

Childish? Well, it's not as if the girls have taken special precautions to hide their identities, much less from the enemies. He shakes his head again, bemused, in a way, that she would do that to her hair, without really understand. Of course, sometimes that's what endearing endearing endearing interesting about Usagi. He doesn't quite understand her.

"You look nothing like her," he declares after a moment.

"Nothing like her?!" Usagi puffs up with injured... something, anyway. She's totally Sailor Moon! "I'm exactly as beautiful and talented and graceful and wonderful as her, and I'll always save the day!" Usagi proclaims.

"You don't look anything like Tuxedo Kamen, either, you know," she gripes sulkily. Usagi's tongue will totally be stuck at Mamoru next.

"Should I?" His grin widens a little, as he watches her puff up like that. It's cute amusing, in a small child kind of way, and it makes him want to tease her all the more.

"Besides. I think you're a little too rounded to look like Sailor Moon."

"That's so mean!!" It doesn't come with the loooong wail it might have a year or so ago, or the waterworks, but it's just as whiny anyway.

"Try to be more like Motoki-kun. He told me he likes seeing girls who like eating." Ponder the future in twenty years with that attitude running unchecked.

"I wouldn't take too much advice about what guys like from Motoki, if I were you. He worries more about Kamekichi than he does himself."

Oh, he's going to try not pondering that attitude, and instead just focus on his amusement that she believed Motoki of all people.

"Kamekichi?" She can tell the name comes from 'turtle', but... "Is that his pet?" Funny, she never noticed Motoki having a pet, but then she doesn't really know him personally the way Mamoru does.

Well, if she's not observant enough to know the turtle's name, he shouldn't be too surprised. It's Usagi, after all, so he shrugs it off and lets it slide easily.

"Don't you know that the turtle gets more dates than he does," he finally says with a laugh. "Kamekichi will probably be married first as well."

"That's not true," Usagi says slyly. "Motoki-kun's nicer than you, so he'll get married way before you do."

"Long before you do," he assures them both easily. Then he grins, and waits for it...
