"This again?" A man who may as well be Mamoru's double, who is Mamoru's double if Mamoru were wearing regal clothing in white, looks rather unimpressed to find himself suddenly here when he should be there. He folds his arms across his chest and looks Mamoru over.

"Chiba Mamoru, right?" It's uncanny how alike they look, but he refuses to believe his identity is decided by this future.

The sudden intrusion of- himself?!- brings Mamoru quickly to his feet, eyes wide as he stares at... well. Himself. There's a very confused look one his face, even as he readies himself for... he doesn't really know what he's readying himself for. But if the man before him tries anything, he'll be ready.

"Who are you?"

Why is he getting the new guy? Endymion tries to think how to put it that won't insane. Then Endymion realizes it sounds insane however he puts it.

"You wouldn't believe me," he says wryly. "I don't believe me, either, sometimes." He takes a glance around the apartment, and his first impression is small.

"Do you really live here?"

"This is my bedroom," he answers, still tense as he watches his look-a-like. It's odd, but he feels like he should recognize the (monstrosity of a) uniform the other is wearing. But then... He recognizes the man himself, though it should be impossible. His brow still furrowed, Mamoru takes a step away from the bed, just to have more space to move in, should he need it.

"How did you get in here?"

"You can't really bar the doors against the nexus," Endymion informs Mamoru. "Let's just call it magic for now."

He gives a little half-snicker, half-smirk as he notices Mamoru getting ready to defend himself. "I'm not here to attack you or anything, you know."

"Nexus?"

This is making no sense. Zoisite's the only one who's ever entered his apartment like this, but... Even this is strange for the pale shitennou, but it doesn't mean that this isn't something he's done. There's another suspicious look at his double.

"I don't know who you are, but this is a private home. You shouldn't be here."

Is he serious? Chiba Mamoru is standing right here staring at him, a perfect double, and can't figure it out? Endymion, in a remarkable feat of graciousness, decides to believe Mamoru just hasn't encountered anything involving the senshi or his past (weird, that, when it's so immediate for Endymion) yet.

"What are you talking about?" he complains anyway when that last comment pricks his pride of station. "I have rights of entry wherever I want to go."

Oh, he has an idea of who this man is supposed to be, and his thoughts are steadily creeping towards the shitennou who oh so recently left, and with such an odd twist on that title. He simply doesn't believe that he can really be facing himself... Or his past self, as Ziosite likes to remind him. So he frowns at the intruder, and decides he's had enough of these games.

"If you're some person Zoisite disguised, you should leave. He has my answer, and this trick isn't going to change it."

"I wouldn't stoop to some stupid trick like disguising myself." Not for... nothing, anyway. Why would he disguise himself to come here? Now to sneak to the Moon, maybe, or into town for a night of much more relaxed fun than the palace affords, maybe. (He tells himself Kunzite doesn't know about those trips.)

"The past has nothing to do with me," he finally says out right, for neither the first nor the last time, as he looks the impostor straight in the eyes. He's tired of saying it, and he feels like a broken record, but he won't change his answer because of this. "Tell Zoisite that."

"Can't you talk about something else?" Endymion, with those six words, quite possibly qualifies himself for an award in Irony.

"What do you expect, when you just appear uninvited into a man's home?"

"I don't expect to hear all this weird stuff about some past!"

"You would if Zoisite wouldn't stop appearing in your home the same way every night!"

So this is because of Zoisite? Endymion gives Mamoru an are-you-stupid look. "I'm not the same person as Zoisite. You can figure that out, right?"
