Usagi sits hunched over a table in a small restaurant, looking a bit uncharacteristically mopey in front of an alarming number of empty soft-drink glasses. She's been here awhile

A few tables away, Luna sat, looking oh so inconspicuous in a black trench coat and sunglasses. It's okay, Usagi-chan, she thinks, They'll show up! She tries not to stare too long, looking back and forth between the blonde girl and a newspaper (which is upside down in her hands).
As much as Luna wants to bury her face in the paper, she merely smiles, letting a blush hit her cheeks. At least she didn't recognize her; that meant everything was going according to plan.
Nope! And Luna got frustrated at something Usagi said and left ten minutes ago, so no chance of being ratted out that way, either. Silly sensitive kitties.
A raucous, embarrassed laugh makes even more of a scene than Usagi already has once she's caught staring, and a few other restaurant patrons turn to stare.
"What's the matter, Usagi... the others get fed up with you?" It's unlike Mamoru to still be so mean after all these years, but it's typical for this one. He's smirking, coming up from behind her. Oh, how he loves the nexus some days.
It's a public place. Kaorinite is kind enough to call her enemy out by her civilian name. "Tsukino Usagi," she hisses venomously once she's close enough, right hand clenching where her Buster staff should be. She's wearing a long black coat, which is luckily enough to not draw too much attention from the other patrons.
There's a tight-lipped smile as she stands by the girl's table. "All alone?" she says in a falsely sweet tone.
"You!" Usagi stares (even more, who knew it was possible?) at Kaolinite. But she's... but she's...
Have some more staring.
Crap, she can't transform somewhere this public. Even if Kaolinite already knows her identity. But what is she up to? No, there must be a pure heart target here?
"I was, the last time I checked," she answers coolly, that smile turning more to an amused smirk.
This might be interesting.
Kaorinite sits down across from Usagi. "I'm sure you don't mind if I keep you company until your friends come, right?" The waitress paused by their table. "Milk tea," she ordered in a polite tone that could fool anyone.
The woman turned her attentions back to Usagi, and there was something a little less pleasant in her expression.
Don't come, everyone. She totally changed her mind. Being late is good! Never is even better!
This situation is too weird. Even she knows that. Kaolinite is dead. Wait, it has to be alternate doubles again, like Luna said. So she can't be sure what Kaolinite knows. She can't transform. Except, why would Kaolinite be-
Is she the pure-heart target? Oh man, maybe everyone should get here after all. But she probably can't get away to call them.
"Um... I guess it's alright..." she says a bit weakly.
'Minako' is on one of her rare trips to earth where she's not there for battle. Instead, she's there for a simple necessity; food. So it's not too much of a surprise when she walks into a restaurant and her princess is there. She does, however, immediately straighten up, her posture becoming more formal, strict, straightening her clothes as she tries to decide whether or not to approach. She doesn't want to interrupt her or taint her with her presence, but- part of her still longs to be close to her princess.
Eeps. She's been spotted. And, as usual, her princess is far too forgiving and naive. Her back straight, she moves slowly over to the table, standing just before it and halting.
"Usagi-sama." There's a tense, small smile here. "It's good to see you."
"Usagi-sama? You're being way too formal, Minako-chan. It's a little weird." Usagi puzzles over this for a moment before quickly motioning to the booth bench across from her.

"Minako-chan! Over here!" She beams a huge smile at the other girl, oblivious to any of the tensions 'Minako' believes should be between them.
