A few tables away, Luna sat, looking oh so inconspicuous in a black trench coat and sunglasses. It's okay, Usagi-chan, she thinks, They'll show up! She tries not to stare too long, looking back and forth between the blonde girl and a newspaper (which is upside down in her hands).
As much as Luna wants to bury her face in the paper, she merely smiles, letting a blush hit her cheeks. At least she didn't recognize her; that meant everything was going according to plan.
Nope! And Luna got frustrated at something Usagi said and left ten minutes ago, so no chance of being ratted out that way, either. Silly sensitive kitties.
A raucous, embarrassed laugh makes even more of a scene than Usagi already has once she's caught staring, and a few other restaurant patrons turn to stare.
Luna just laughed, covering her mouth with a hand. She's so amused she doesn't notice the crescent moon briefly reappearing on her forehead. She'd been using the disguise pen at least once a day to teach at Usagi's school, but the power had its limits, and was needing to recharge. But she had used it yet again for this disguise.
Usagi stares blankly at Luna and points towards the forehead bearing that distinctive sigil; subtlety will never be her strong point.
That's my mark! she almost shouts out, but fortunately she stops herself in time. Wait, wait, think, Usagi. Crescent moon symbol. Neo-Queen Serenity, the princess, Chibiusa...
"E-eeeeh?!" No worries, Usagi, it's not Luna's either. Quickly, she pulls out a compact mirror, both using it to block her forehead and look at it herself. Oh, no! she rubs at her forehead, willing it to go away, and to her relief, it does. Taking a deep breath, she lowers the mirror, smiling. "I-I'm sorry," she says, trying to act like she didn't just have a minor freak out, "What did you say?"
"Why do you have a crescent moon on your forehead?" She's still pointing right at it - er, where it was - too. The tone is almost childish it's so blank. She's a bit stunned at finding, she still thinks, possibly another member of the Silver Millenium dynasty.
Luna forced a laugh. "What?" she asked, "Young lady, you must be seeing things. There's nothing on my forehead. Maybe you had one too many sodas." When in doubt, deny, deny, deny.
Shoot! If she keeps saying weird things like this, it'll be obvious she's weird. Usagi laughs as if Luna's comment is the funniest thing she's ever heard, another of those raucous, high-pitched sounds.
"That's right! How could I see a crescent moon on someone's forehead?" Laugh, laugh, laugh. "How silly!" Laugh laugh laugh.
Laughing along? Of course. But then, just as easily as it vanished, it pops back, and this time, Luna knows it, snapping a hand to her forehead to hide it. The shoes on her feet start to tingle; her clothes, too? Well, she wouldn't be naked if they faded away, but her normal yellow dress was a far cry from the dark attire she was wearing.
Not making it easy to ignore, Luna! Geez, they're in a crowded place like this, too. And what if it's like Chibiusa releasing her energy and enemies are after this girl and and and-
Usagi lets out a low-voiced little growl of indecision, and then lunges forward to grab at Luna's arm. If she gets it, she'll drag the other girl outside and somewhere more secluded.
Crying out, Luna whines as she's dragged out, one hand still at her forehead. "Usagi-chan, let me go~!" Cover is blown; may as well blow it fully, right?
Whoa, whoa, Usagi-chan?! Usagi does let go, from shock if nothing else.
"You know me?" She taps a finger to her lips and keeps peering at Luna. No good. "But I don't know you!" she frets. This could turn to wailing quickly.
Luna looks around; they're in a small park not too far from where they were, and nobody's around. Sighing, she finally lets the disguise fade fully. Feet turn bare, the black trench melting into a black and yellow dress, a crescent moon hanging on a chain from her neck. "Usagi-chan," she says firmly, hand lowering from her forehead, "I'm Luna."

"So pretty...!! I wish I could look like that!" She has a short connection between her mind and her mouth sometimes.
