Or, how I finally solved stupid windows opening in the top left corner when they're supposed to flipping well remember what position and size they were the last time I used them...

Ok, so waiting until the Mercury retrograde began before finally upgrading my desktop to a newer version of Kubuntu was apparently a bad idea...and waiting until 9:00pm to start wasn't very bright, either! I didn't get to bed until after 2:00am. :-/
