Ok, so waiting until the Mercury retrograde began before finally upgrading my desktop to a newer version of Kubuntu was apparently a bad idea...and waiting until 9:00pm to start wasn't very bright, either! I didn't get to bed until after 2:00am. :-/

Well, a lot of this was lost on me since I'm a Jr Windows Geek in Training and Linux is a Foreign Language, but I'm glad you got it up and working.

Yeah, Mercury Retrograde is a Bad Time to do anything like that.
