I'm still tired from it! Saturday, I went to a hand bell workshop with some members of our choir. It was a long drive into the mountains. A very pretty drive! I learned some new ringing techniques, and we played some great new music.

Very nice service. The choir did a great job. We had dinner at Katie's after (Mom and I did most of the cooking), our usual Christmas Eve assortment of seafood and salads, plus my cake.

My hand (especially my thumb) was really acting up today. I had to run to Wal-Mart after church to get a brace. It helped a lot. Tonight we had our Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, and I had to ring bells in four songs. I think I did okay. Without the brace, it would been bad for me.

My first week of my food and exercise journal just happened to be the week of St. Patrick's Day. LOL! My family had the usual corned beef and cabbage dinner, with my soda bread. I did really well with portion size and balancing proteins and carbs, etc. But look what Katie brought to dinner- Krispy Kreme donuts in St. Patrick's Day designs!

This is where Katie and I are staying when we go to Disney World: Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. The pools look so amazing. We won't be in the hotel much, especially the last two days, but I'm sure we'll take time for some swimming.

Someone from my church has died from COVID-19. He was older, had other health issues, but the virus is what ultimately killed him. My church is small. I don't like the thought of losing any members ( Read more... )

But it still sucks. The Masterworks season has been cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. No rehearsals, no June concert. This will be the fourth spring Masterworks I've missed since I joined, but at least this time it's not my fault!
