I almost had a chance to go back to Florida in January. Dad's Rotary club had a raffle in December, and one of the prizes was a week long stay at a vacation house in Orlando. That's the grim milestone the United States hit in Covid-19 deaths this week. And the sad thing is, many deaths early on went unreported, so the death toll is probably over a million. And there's still no end in sight. I wish people would stop being assholes about getting vaccinated and wearing masks.

Still isolating. I'm sick. I had a fever of 100 F today, and have been having coughing and sneezing fits all week. Today I had trouble eating. I have home Covid-19 tests on the way, so I can at least get tested. Ugh. I hate being sick. I'm miserable and can't sleep. I haven't felt this bad since I was recovering from the hernia surgery. Once again, there's a possibility that my whole damn family has been exposed to Covid-19. Dad's been sick all week, and his doctor (via video chat) suggested that we all quarantine for the next five days. I'm so tired of being cut off from everyone. Dad probably doesn't even have Covid! Also known as Snowmicron, after the latest Covid-19 variant. We got a foot of snow early Monday and the power was out until 3:30 this afternoon. It was terrible. I actually built a fort out of all my throw pillows to help keep the cold air out! It sure was pretty, though.

Corinne was in her happy place with all of the snow.
