There have been two different snowstorms in the past couple of weeks. Most of the snow is gone, but it was pretty!

I've spent a lot of time at Katie's house. I had to watch Maisie for two weekends in a row! The first weekend she had a Rotary Club workshop and a church retreat. A week later, she went to New York to see Sam and Devon. And this weekend, I stayed over to help her run her Rotary Club's Great Wine Out. That was fun ( Read more... )

Mom and Dad had their 62nd wedding anniversary on the 16th, which also happened to be Father's Day this year. We went to see The Wizard of Oz at the Riverside for their anniversary, and The Alpine Chef for Father's Day. Dad and I got a giant metal rooster for Mom. She loves it. My check-up with my oncologist went well. He's very satisfied with my progress and doesn't need to see me until next year. He was very interested in my gallbladder disaster, and checked out my scar. He said any lumps I still have are normal and will go away on their own ( Read more... )

I watched Maisie last weekend while Katie was in New York visiting Sam and Devon. She had a great time. I borrowed a couple of photos she took of our old house in Staten Island. Here she is with Sam and his very fast-growing puppy, Astro. The house and our street!

It's been six weeks since my surgery, and I think I'm about 90% better. I'm still having some pain from the scar, but my digestive system has finally settled down. In another two weeks, I should be able to lift things again ( Read more... )

Back from dog sitting. I had some real trouble with pain all week, and Katie didn't have any ibuprofen in the house. Mom actually sent me a bottle via Amazon! Maisie was good.
