Thinking again of leaving the area. Still not sure where I'd go, what I'd do, except get away. I've got one reason -- one person, really -- to stay. But for that person... Well, I'd probably still be here, but doing more to make my escape from the North Country more of a reality. -

I miss working in the toy store. Even if it was so busy the closer it got to Christmas that I couldn't find five minutes to eat a lunch some days. It occurs to me that I just ate worse than I have in a very long time today.
A can of Chef Boyardee ravioli, some chicken nuggets and fries from McDonald's, and some hard-boiled eggs. Unless I'm mistaken... that's it.

I did something today out of concern for... call it my "soul" or "the state of my enlightenment" or whatever... and I really hope it doesn't find some way to come around and bite me in the ass. I wonder sometimes about trying to find an artist to help produce a (web)comic, folly of follies. Ideas have a tendency of sleeting wildly across my brain, and occasionally one that pings me hard is something that would work better in a more visual medium -- but I suck out loud when it comes to drawing, and anything more complicated than that is ( Read more... )
