Is it just me? (#2)
I saw a sign in a shop window this morning that made me boggle a bit. The shop is a "health and beauty store" specialising in the Afro-Caribbean market, if that's relevant. The sign says:
VIRGIN BRAZILIAN HAIR ON SALE

Some more mystery birds from Eritrea
You could be forgiven for thinking it was a bird-watching holiday! All I can say is, if you like birdwatching, you'll like Eritrea. Mostly rubbish photos. I've managed to identify some other birds but haven't got these yet... I'm really enjoying the process but it takes ever such a long time!

Eritrea fauna
I was hoping to do another leg of my Pilgrims Way today but it's raining heavily and has been for about 3 weeks, so it's extremely wet and muddy underfoot. I suppose the original pilgrims would have to keep going whatever the weather, but as I'm doing it primarily for enjoyment, I'm not going to make myself miserable by trudging ankle-deep in mud ( Read more... ) -
Drive-by shootings
Not the lethal gangsta kind, but shooting photos from the moving bus in Eritrea. This is where digital photography comes into its element, because I can shoot as much as I want, in the knowledge that the vast majority of them will turn out rubbish and can be deleted afterwards but just a few turn out to be gems.
