I was hoping to do another leg of my Pilgrims Way today but it's raining heavily and has been for about 3 weeks, so it's extremely wet and muddy underfoot. I suppose the original pilgrims would have to keep going whatever the weather, but as I'm doing it primarily for enjoyment, I'm not going to make myself miserable by trudging ankle-deep in mud

The cat needs a speech bubble coming out of its mouth, doesn't it? I wonder what he would be saying? "Oi, ibis, it's my turn now!" Something like that.

No, it wasn't at all a safari and bird watching trip. I was the only one interested really, particularly in the birds. I don't know how I would describe the holiday. Cultural and sightseeing, I suppose.
