Yes, its been a very long weekend. Thursday whilst chopping carrots I accidentally made a nice quarter inch deep cut in the side of my left thumb with the chopping knife. Yes, we're not really celebrating turkey day today or tomorrow. We're saving it for Saturday when CC won't have to wake up early and work the next day. Ok so today has been strange. Woke with lenaf007 and somehow locked bakasaru_chan in her room with her own clothes. Yes, fun was had by all. Found a good rec for mulled wine which we'll be trying this holiday. Still no word from Dave. So today Lena and I are going to visit Grandma. This is weird. They took her off the dopamine so now she's on nothing but her own support and, strangely, her vitals are improving. Is that normal? Is this just one more upswing before the final big roller-coaster drop at the end?

I have no idea what state I'm going to be in after this.

So Grandma is still alive. Not dead yet but slowly being poisoned to death by her own bodily toxins and the failure of her kidneys. This just sucks. And yesterday, knowing that I would not be in class b/c of Samhain, my nonfic teacher called and left a message asking me to bring a manuscript for workshopping. Yesterday was a hard day. It was the last day they will keep Grandma on support. Her kidneys began failing some time during the week and, although they'd taken the breathing tube and feeding tubes out of her throat they had to reinsert them to account for her faltering breaths.
