Getting ready to head up to KSU today for WC meeting. It's such a long drive for such a short little thing. I'm always a bit befuddled/amused by the way folks react to my long drive from here to KSU and back again. It's always something along the lines of "wow, you came all the way up here just for this?" So I'm enjoying the quiet time of this off week, but omg I'm getting a little cabin fever without a way to get around. I don't mind my car being used for a good cause but it's still starting to get to me. It's probably for the best, though. Knowing me I'd probably just go see TDK again, and it's not half as much fun without company.

I'm tired. We had a crazy thunderstorm last night and I never can sleep well through those. I saw that there's a short story contest I can enter via email but, naturally, I have none of my stories on my jump drive. Typical.

Poor Millie! A trip to the vet for nothing. We got there about 15 minutes early and had to wait a while. When we went in the vet came out to talk with us about the declawing procedure. She wante to know why we wanted to do it, and the reasons we gave were really flimsy (furniture, equality with the other cats). But I guess that's what happens when ( Read more... )

Ok well today is the day we take Millie to get her front claws removed. I'm not fond of the practice, but the other two cats have both had it done and it really isn't fair for Millie to be the sole beneficiary of instant weapons should they all get into a *cough* cat fight. Well I finished The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis in the Narnia series. It's the first one I read and although it does have lots of Christian symbolism I don't really care since the characetrs like Jadis are interesting enough to hold my attention.
