Man, I'm tired.
I'm tired. We had a crazy thunderstorm last night and I never can sleep well through those. I saw that there's a short story contest I can enter via email but, naturally, I have none of my stories on my jump drive. Typical.
This weekend was interesting. Jeff and bakasaru_chan came by twice for family film night wherein we meet with mom and dad to see a movie. Since it was father's day weekend and two new must-see films were out we ended up seeing both of them: Hulk on Saturday and Happening on Sunday. It was pretty interesting because the movie environments were way different -- there were some complete asshats in the theater during Hulk who's antics included attempts to slide down the railing in the aisle, roaring in a bad Hulk impersonation, kicking chairs, and laughing in the way some annoying people flirt and spend caffeine energy at the same time. The Happening was much different, within the first few moments of the film the entire theater was silent. It was very much inspired by Asian Horror, which made me happy, but the science was a bit wonky and the ending was clearly born of a lack of time. 'What a twist!' didn't apply either, which was pretty strange and somehow less fulfilling of a Shayamalan film. But man there were some awesome scenes in both films. I think I liked them both about equally.
Jeff wants to run a new D&D campaign, so I'll probably play an unaligned half-elf infernal warlock. I was saying in the car yesterday that my character would have to be displeased and pissed off and lenaf007 suggested I shorten it to DAPO. So that's gonna be my character's last name. Dapo. Yeah, I'm a nerd.
