One of the (many) disadvantages of the quarter system is that your breaks and start/end dates for school are placed very weirdly throughout the year. For example, I started school 1 day before October. I gave myself a paper cut on my nose today. I was studying whilst lying on my back and glancing up at my notes, when I brought my notebook a bit too close to my nose, and it sliced a tiny portion of the undeside of my nose. I don't know about everybody else, but I'm definitely glad that January is almost over. This month has been really rough in terms of school, sewing, and time management. My mother offered to mail me thread for my quilted bonnet, so it looks like I'll have something to do during finals week after all. I took pictures for her of my red silk using my point and shoot Nikon, but for some reason they came fuzzy.
