When she woke up, he was already gone. It was late, but she needed the sleep so she forgave herself. Sayu was usually an early riser, a morning person. Maybe that would lose meaning to her if she spent more time with her vampire. Her vampire. The implications of this thought seemed to not particularly bother her, so much as turn up some feelings within her.

They still hadn’t talked about the bond. They hadn’t shared anything more than a bed and vague feelings when they really paid attention. She found herself thinking more about him, little flutters of anxiety brushed over her when she thought about him being a vampire. And what vampires usually do with their bondeds. Sayu pushed her thoughts away, cross that bridge when it comes.

Well, sex would be cool. No, later. Think about it later. She grinned to herself and finally pushed herself out of bed. Maybe some coffee, write an article. Try to be normal for a few hours. She was certain their bond was weak, really weak, probably because of the events that happened. And haven’t happened. She had been writing about the whole experience, but she was sure she can’t publish any of it. It just comforts her to do it.

Sayu walked out of their bedroom in her pajamas, a tank top and loose Capri pants. There was no one around. She called out, “Anyone home?” There was no answer. When she went into the kitchen, there was a note on the fridge. It looked like Minho’s writing since he drew a smiley face with fangs. They went out to eat, help herself to anything, they would bring back dinner.

She shrugged and looked around for coffee and made herself some eggs. Mentally noting that she would require more food than ramen noodles and eggs, which is all they seemed to have. Sayu started wandering in thought again as she ate at their little table. Jonghyun still thought of her dying and feeling happy about it, she was sure. Not that it was something she could blame him for, just the feeling of that made her feel completely at his mercy.

Sayu wasn’t the type of girl to beg for her life or anything, he knew that. Even more so she was so relieved to see him rescue her, but then felt complete dread knowing he could have just been there to fix his problem. For a long time it felt like it was exactly that. His pure distaste for bonds in general was apparent even before this happened. She had many conversations with him about it. He never talked about his reasons, but his deflections to certain questions helped her draw her own conclusion with his feelings on the matter.

Jonghyun hates bonds. He hates the idea and what it does. She’s not sure if he hates the idea of keeping a human around, since he met with her and didn’t try to seclude her for an easy meal, or if he doesn’t like the relationship between a vampire and a human. He said something about a previous girlfriend he had, in passing, so he couldn’t have an aversion to relationships in general either.

All her thoughts on Jonghyun, she felt an increasing hotness between her legs. Once she was focusing on him, she became excited and there was a sensation of euphoria. Suddenly this bond thing just got really, very interesting.
